I'm really interested in buying one. Couple questions: what chainring size did you get, and why? Did you install the gear change sensor? What displays did you choose and why?

Have to check when I get home, I think the 44(came with kit). No gear sensor and not going to be installing it. I got the expensive and cheap display, will be installing the expensive display on the second build

you can use the brake as a clutch you dont really need a shift sensor, if you pay attention. For the chainring it depends on your chain line and also clearance to chainstays. you might have a bad chain line and need an offset chain ring like a luna eclipse 42T or lekkie blingring. 42T is the smallest chainring with a large offset that you can get to fix the chain line. If your chain line is OK. you can run a smaller chainring and it will be very torquey, but you lose top speeds. Like a 28T or 30T chainring will top out at like 25MPH. I have found a 36T chainring is a good fit for a bbshd fat bike. And on my 29er mtb i had to use a 42T chainring with an offset because the chain line wasnt very good. You should just try the stock 44T chainring and see what happens it has a bit of an offset to help the chainline. but its not that great it drops chains often. If you get a large chainring like 52T it might not even clear the chainstays or fit your bike so i would go small.
