It's finally here! "A True,True Friend" taken from the season 3 finale, re-created entirely in Source FIlmmaker. This time it's a lot more literal compared to "Smile! Smile! Smile!"
We started working on this a short while after I put my first Pony video out which was re-creating the Smile song.

At the time, this was the most requested song to do next. I really didn't plan to do another one because of the time and effort needed, but then I got a message from Discopears (Lucas Sabatka) offering to create more of the buildings in a similar style to Sugar Cube Corner if I ever wanted to create another such video. Of course I had to accept and work eventually began. Turns out he did a lot more work than I could have ever imagined and created nearly every single building and prop seen in the cartoon during this song.
So... an absolutely huge thanks to Lucas for sticking through to the end. Without his work this wouldn't have happened AND you guys probably wouldn't have all of these AWESOME and free to use scene building props to use in your own creations! Perfect. Everything to me seemed very spot on. I loved how you incorporated the 2D squirrel and mouse into the 3D environment lol, I got a kick out of that. Awesome work man!

This is really the only Pony SFM that has impressed me to such a degree that I actually prefer it, completely, over the scene in the original episode. I salute you good sir/madam!

It's great! I suppose that the creation of this animation took a lot of time. But it's worth it)
When the comparison video has 55x the amount of views then the original, you know your looking pretty sweet. But lesson learned here kids; when your making a remake of a scene, you might want to put your work as a comparison video then just on its own. People clearly only watch remakes to see how CLOSE it can be to the original.

As much as I respect the time and effort that went into creating the 3D models, this comparison confirms they need a facelift, in order to match the shows design. But nicely done nonetheless, even though you've basically just remade it in deep detail.
Next time, I'd like to see a 3D model for the squirrel(s). ;-)
