Is it just me, or does anyone else get chills during last couple of measures? Chopin usually finishes these masterworks of his with a set of chords, but this time... it keeps going, with a special octave ending to match the style of the composition. What a pleasure listening to this recording!!!

My sleeper favorite of the Scherzos is Alice Hwang (aka Nahre Sol here on RUclips), but hers are admittedly more motoric - but so crisp and so exciting! - and less introspective than Kate Liu's. (Alice didn't get out of the US regionals in 2015, and has subsequently become more of a composer, musical explorer and educator, after having given up music entirely for a while.)
