I grew up with this record, but it was an expanded version with backing vocalists. They interspersed little disco ditties about the houses of straw, twigs, and bricks, plus a final ditty called "The Bigger They Come, The Harder They Fall."
The additional songs in the famous story were inspired by the increasing popularity of pop and rock songs in the 1970s - not just easy listening songs like "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" sung by Tony Orlando and Dawn....and I loved "The Bigger They Come" - even if that song did not totally relate to the story line.
this takes me back to my earliest childhood memories. There were a few nice little songs omitted though. I remember one called "Good luck good health and good fortune". Awesome video.

3:30 “Turn the record over, and we will continue on the other side.” 😊❤️
Renege, probably the first book I ever owned to have that particular word
Narrated by Jack Arthur. He had a very distinctive voice.
the organ music reminds me of a Black Baptist Church
