This was back when if you owned Cadillac or Lincoln, it meant you "made it". Now, vehicles have no soul, no style. Just big, boxy tank like SUV's and pickup trucks. Driving is no longer pleasurable, it's a war everyday out there on the roads.

I was just saying the 'War Everyday" on the Roads to some friends yesterday. Cars now have rock hard seats, low profile tires so you feel every bump on the road. When did being comfortable go out of style.

Oh I love it! And it brings back the memories, too: When these came out, a business owner in my area had 2 of them ("his & hers"). The rumor was he also purchased an undisclosed # of them for future use/investment. As kids we always tried to sneak in his warehouse to see if any were there. We never got caught but we never saw any other Caddies, either. The legend continues...

stunning. while I was a previous owner of a convertible with a black interior and therefore would not recommend it, the triple black on this car makes a powerful statement and dominates the room...recommend you wait for the sun to go down before retracting the top...evening top-down rides are the best anyway. gorgeous car

She's beautiful! I'm loving the red pinstriping accenting the black - oh - and the mat black finish on the hubcaps.., to die for! The wood accents in the door panels are the icing on the proverbial cake. Alas, I could never ever own a convertible. The guy going over the car with Lou is wrong. 1976 was not the final year for this body style (for the convertible, yes). Nonetheless, this body style continued on until 1978, and then was downsized for 1979 until it saw another downsize in 1986, until it was shamefully and woefully "Europeanized" in 1992 at which point it ceased to be truly "Cadillac" (IMHO). Still another wonderful video, Lou!

What a most stunning classic automobile! While it’s an excellent ‘70s Cadillac example, I would say that it’s styling is timeless. Too bad GM/Cadillac doesn’t design, create, and manufacture a handful beautiful luxury cars today. Back in the day these were “the” car to have. Now it looks so huge. I realize that you couldn’t sell a car like this today, but GM sure handed the vehicle market to the imports by building poor quality vehicles that were out of touch with the car buyer’s needs and desires. 1976 vehicles weren’t bad, but in the next 5 years they really changed the direction, the wrong way.

I hope you will view it and let me know what you think. This beautifully restored automobile is a one off and deserves more recognition.
