In all honesty the highest performing boss mule i have is my evan. Its definitely not a meta pick due to complexity, but it really has it all: decent burst, good 1min miniburst for small bosses, amazing dpm. Ether form and tele already give it good survival, and it has another on top of that too.
On reg servers I find it's more efficient to just brute force a character to 260 to do daily erda request and sell the Sol erda fragments for about a 1b/ week than it is to fund and train 5 Boss Mules to a point where they can clear everything under lomien which only net you 200m/week each. It's also convenient because if you're not selling for Mesos you can just pool everything onto your main

Bucc's been great, and my first character to solo up to NLomien. My friends are baffled by how much more meso I can get from training, even with worse meso gear, and not needing IED lines to boss effectively is a blessing
I haven’t ride Lynn but all the those other ones I can confirm are great. Dual Blade, Wind Archer, and Marksman are always strong, easy to fund, and simple to play so you don’t get confused on what you are doing after not playing them all that often. Edit: Dual Blade if you are funding him to be his most optimal is actually pretty expensive but it is still a good choice for all the s 😂
It happened through hyperburning and curiosity more than looking for a mule, but paladin is kinda nice. The dps is not great unfortunately, and the burst is every 3 minutes, not 2, but it is pretty good. The nice part is that you can ignore a lot of boss mechanics, you're almost unkillable. You won't be bossing fast, but if you care more about making it an easy/relaxing thing, it's a great class. It also has the big invulnerability skill that has a "customizable" duration and cooldown. It can last up to 30 seconds, and it partially refunds the cooldown the earlier you interrupt it, and the refund is significant enough that you'll want to use it on many bosses, while for others having the longer invincibility can be incredibly useful. The burst skill also gives you damage reduction against %hp attacks, making you extra tanky specifically when you least want a death to occur. You also have multiple skills to resist super knockbacks.
There is a few more buttons to press for lynn burst but you got the basics. Just make sure you use your version of epic adventurer, goddess and power of destiny before awakening
My biggest concerns is the IED and boss dmg, I see some dude smooth cut lomien like butter at 225 and I’m at level 255 that can take lomien down not as fast.
because it is a non-kms class, i don't think I would recommend it but at the end of the day, play what you think you might enjoy regardless. I main a non-kms class myself
I have trouble with boss mechanics that require avoidance because I cannot control my hands very well, so I try to use mules that are strong and have great survivability. I use a paladin , and I am burning my battle mage to be a boss mule. Buster sounds like it could work too. I love my FP mage, but it can die easier. My main is a lvl 265 Bishop, and i continue to play the game to work on hand dexterity. Any advice?
Unfortunately F/P is rough on hands lmao. I have one and it's definitely rough to play compared to other classes (Hero, Bucc, WA, BM, MM, etc.). I don't have an I/L mage but Bishop and F/P are definitely management intensive since you have to constantly press skills to upkeep buffs/stacks in bossing. For mobbing they're a godsend, and they're pretty much some of the easiest mobbers in the game, but otherwise, RIP. Easiest way to manage F/P is to stack buff duration on legion and inner abilities, and then rely on Infinity more. I put Poison Nova and Poison Chain on a macro so they activate in tandem. Angelic Buster is definitely easier on the hands since all you have to do is toggle Seeker, turn on auto on auto on Trinity Fusion (down key + trinity), Finale Ribbon off c/d for a debuff, and then your burst and buff skills off cooldown. Burst is simple too. Buffs > Finale Ribbon > Trinity x2 > Trinity Fusion > Mascot and Exaltation > Trinity spam. Press Exaltation again for I-frame, and Resonance for survivability. Hero is a pretty good bossmule with good survivability as well. Its burst is simple, as you just use Combo Orbs, Cry Valhalla, Burning Soul Blade, Puncture, Instinctual Combo, and then Raging Blow spam and Sword Illusion off CD. Use World Reaver for I-frame (25s CD). It also has access to Blitz Shield and Impenetrable Shield like the other warriors like Paladin, and its warrior linkskill that gives you a safety when getting hit with a lethal attack once every couple minutes. Also, Flash Blade gives you superstance and mitigates some of the mobility issues. Bucc is easy as well. Just a couple of toggles and buffs. Howling Fist is also one of the best I-frames + damage skills in the game. Lynn might be right up your alley. It's incredibly simple. Just 2 toggles and 4 buffs (Nature's Providence which gives IED and Maple Warrior on pet, Awaken and Aura when bursting). It also has a stationary barrier that reduces damage taken by 30% and fatal damage once per 300s, as well as a heal. Mihile is also best tank.

I solo boss with my bishop because I don't want to screw up anyone else, unless it is with my guild buddies trying to help me learn or clear a boss. One of my main character is Paladin. I know that I'm supposed to do party plays and such since I'm paladin, and today, I did my first party play but I was so confused on orders and such b/c it was my first time ever doing party. I honestly was confused the whole time I was there, didn't know what to do, I did let them know that it was my first time partying so I didn't get yelled at, but it's still frustrating and I don't think there is any comprehensive guide on partying in particular for maplestory. Can you made a guide or at least recommend me a video that can help me? Like after I got accepted for the boss party, I didn't even know where to go so the guys had to tell me where to go.

I had a bucc as a boss mule a while ago, but I kept accidentally flying somewhere else and died when Lighten Form was up. I think Bucc already has enough mobility skills; the teleport from Lighten Form is a bit unnecessary.

boss mules i regret? definitely Adele lmao. At one point i was gunna main it and was convinced i could do it, but since i play so many other games and barely play maple, when i do get the urge to play maple i just wana log on, blow bosses up, and log out. And adele though strong, just too much micromanaging
My current boss mule setup is all over the place. Right now I have 254Kain, 215NL, 215DW, 210MM, 210Lynn, 220AB, 200Bucc, 213Shad, 200BaM, 210DS, and 200WH/HoYoung that I want to push to CRA-NLomien but I'm easing into it so that I don't crash out. What would you recommend I do here? Perhaps I'll look into swapping out a few of them like MM and NL because I dislike how MM feels and NL requires a bit more of an investment than the others. I'm glad that I pushed these characters to 210-215 early. Just need to slowly start throwing some nodes at them so I can start sending them weekly 😅 Thanks for the informative content as always
My 2 current main characters are NL and Hero. I think these are both great mules since all you gotta do is pop 8 buffs, bind, burst (+krrr) then wait 2 minutes before going into the next boss. Takes minimal funding too 🔥
IMO NL needs way too much funding to be a good boss mule. NL is incredibly hard for P1 gollux, and my DW at 2.5m CP was able to kill nlomien in half the time my NL took at 5m CP. My NL is now in the doghouse, at 7m CP it's still not guaranteed kill for gollux, and all my other boss mules (bucc, NW, DW) already have 100% clear at much lower CP.
I'd argue for Hero over Dawn Warrior. Dawn Warrior is great but you still need a bit more funding than Hero. Hero is literally free damage. You also only really need 3 nodes for Hero bossing; Raging Blow, Final Attack, and Cry Valhalla. Beam Blade, Rising Rage, and Puncture are great too, but are unnecessary for bossmules. You get so much final damage and critical damage from Hero it's amazing. Plus its DPS is actually high enough to sustain damage off burst, and when bursting (2m) it pretty much doubles. Don't even need Attack Speed + 1 for Lomien, but if you do then that's an extra 30-40% DPS. Explorer Warriors also get a freebie when suffering lethal damage every couple of minutes, so it's beginner friendly. Only issue Hero really has is it's simple, and its mobility. It has that shitty up jump all explorer warriors have, instead of that nifty upflash jump Cygnus Knights have. Also, no native bind, but that's not really a concern with Erda Nova.
Ur kidding, right? My Bucc's able to solo NLomien in under 10 min with only 20k stat, with minimal investment into WSE (only 18%ATT and 35% Boss DMG atm) Also only have couple pieces of 16-17* gear, with plenty of room for improvement
I only make mains, but Absorb-Skill Lara (you want 20% skip and hat CD) and Blaze Wizard are fantastic for fast bossing every week since they have no burst... well, Blaze Wizard has only the 90s burst skill with Cygnus Blessing (which is not relevant until level 245+), but these two have really, really high sustain damage. Lynn needs a lot of improvements and buffs, but early game solo bossing is good since the improvements she needs are outside of solo bossing mostly (like mobbing and party bossing she is in desperate need for massive buffs). Shade is absolutely cracked out of his mind for bossing, literally the best bosser in the game accompanied by support debuffs with 20% damage (100% uptime, just passively), 10% crit damage + 80% crit damage with spiritgate, and 20% final damage with split while being mostly sustain damage with currently pretty strong burst. The revamp does ruin them quite a bit for several reasons, but their survivability and mobility remains the same. Bishop is good if you don't mind being shackled to Infinity (the one thing I hate about my Bishop is the over reliance on Infinity to deal damage). F/P Mage is the number one damage, does need a lot of node slots, and is all sustain damage so fantastic for bossing at all levels. They are the definition of glass cannons and they are hard to play which their difficulty brings them down in popularity, same goes for Blaze Wizard for being hard to play. Khali is very similar in terms of difficulty to play and understanding of how to play that kind of sustain damage class such as Blaze Wizard, but overall worse than Blaze Wizard solely because she has zero support buffs while Blaze Wizard has very strong 100% uptime support buffs, having the dashes on Khali is great for bossing though, incase you want to pursuit a stronger character later. Class difficulty is a turn off for a lot of players (to the point that most players misunderstand a lot of their skill kits). We don't talk about Wild Hunter... Though they would be highly recommended if they had a single change which was allow the jaguar skills to be placed into auto-mode, the only thing they need to be a perfect class for mobbing and bossing.

Hi, i choose Dark Knight but i kinda regret it. Its just not as cool / feels clunky many 10 sec cds. I don't like keeping track of many small things.

Don't even need Attack Speed + 1 for Lomien, but if you do then that's an extra 30-40% DPS. Explorer Warriors also get a freebie when suffering lethal damage every couple of minutes, so it's beginner friendly. Only issue Hero really has is it's simple, and its mobility. It has that shitty up jump all explorer warriors have, instead of that nifty upflash jump Cygnus Knights have. Also, no native bind, but that's not really a concern with Erda Nova.

My Bucc's able to solo NLomien in under 10 min with only 20k stat, with minimal investment into WSE (only 18%ATT and 35% Boss DMG atm)
Also only have couple pieces of 16-17* gear, with plenty of room for improvement

I only make mains, but Absorb-Skill Lara (you want 20% skip and hat CD) and Blaze Wizard are fantastic for fast bossing every week since they have no burst... well, Blaze Wizard has only the 90s burst skill with Cygnus Blessing (which is not relevant until level 245+), but these two have really, really high sustain damage.
Lynn needs a lot of improvements and buffs, but early game solo bossing is good since the improvements she needs are outside of solo bossing mostly (like mobbing and party bossing she is in desperate need for massive buffs).
Shade is absolutely cracked out of his mind for bossing, literally the best bosser in the game accompanied by support debuffs with 20% damage (100% uptime, just passively), 10% crit damage + 80% crit damage with spiritgate, and 20% final damage with split while being mostly sustain damage with currently pretty strong burst. The revamp does ruin them quite a bit for several reasons, but their survivability and mobility remains the same.
Bishop is good if you don't mind being shackled to Infinity (the one thing I hate about my Bishop is the over reliance on Infinity to deal damage).
F/P Mage is the number one damage, does need a lot of node slots, and is all sustain damage so fantastic for bossing at all levels. They are the definition of glass cannons and they are hard to play which their difficulty brings them down in popularity, same goes for Blaze Wizard for being hard to play.
Khali is very similar in terms of difficulty to play and understanding of how to play that kind of sustain damage class such as Blaze Wizard, but overall worse than Blaze Wizard solely because she has zero support buffs while Blaze Wizard has very strong 100% uptime support buffs, having the dashes on Khali is great for bossing though, incase you want to pursuit a stronger character later. Class difficulty is a turn off for a lot of players (to the point that most players misunderstand a lot of their skill kits).
We don't talk about Wild Hunter...
Though they would be highly recommended if they had a single change which was allow the jaguar skills to be placed into auto-mode, the only thing they need to be a perfect class for mobbing and bossing.
