yes this video was very helpful!!! I have some new Holstein bull calves that i am bottle feeding for my first and the items in the video are exactly what i needed to see and learn about. Thanks for you helpful video and comments , I hope to see more in the future
My dad used to have a beef cattle farm in south Bark River and I can remember back when he used a brand called Coopertox on the cattle for flys, horse flys, ETC in mid to late 80's
i'm from india. your cattle farm is very good......... and your country whether is very-very good......i like it....... I wish I could work in your country too.......!!
After watching your video I pick up a Portasol Dehorner used it last weekend I love it. Got it off Amazon $151.59 a little pricey like you said but well worth it. The fly spray works great too... Thanks
Hello Nicky! I guess the only way for me to answer this is......if they look to be on their death bed they get the Nuflor. If they are just simply sluggish & a bit weak after a dealing of scours....Tylan. Hope that helps a little?
You need some draxxin or Micotil for that hacking calf in the corner! You might as well throw that tylan away! Lol ive never had any luck with that shit on anything much less a baby.. Seriously have done great with draxxin on babys! Nuflor is ok but I found it dosent do as well for the most part and you've got to put so many ccs in them.. Great channel by the way..
Hi so when you dehorn with that dehorner do they have to freeze around the horn bud or anything like that? Lol this is probably a silly question to you lol
Dennis...there are no silly questions. I do not do anything before hand or even after for that matter. With the dehorner that I use, they only go through 3 seconds of absolute discomfort. It must be VERY hot though before beginning.
It's a fight and we're fighting for life or fighting to have these beautiful animals in our lives and they get sick because most cattle are supposed to be on the move from the time they're born to the time and we've come a long way with medications and the ability to pull them out of a rut!!!
that de-horning hot iron is out dated, there is a past I use now that is very cheap, you shave the hair and wipe on the past an your done, I de-horn and band at a week old, the stuff you say you use that is in the milk house that works good, what is it for? you fail to say what a lot of the stuff you use is for but I my self know what its for but many would not, I never take anything a part as I have new ones coming all the time 365 days a year, sub back pls.
Thanks for sharing! I like to see how others take care of their cattle. It's neat to learn!

Are you concerned with the calves licking each other after being sprayed with the fly spray?
Hey Steven!! I was, but they didn't touch each other directly after a little spray.
Good to know, thanks!

Can you make a video using your dehorner?
