PGA San Diego Open 1967, 1978, and 1990

The Farmers Open is underway at Torrey Pines. We have newly digitized film from 1967 when it was the San Diego Open at The Stardust Country Club in Mission Valley. It moved to Torrey Pines the following year. Here's local golf great and 1966 champion Billy Casper on Pro Am day and there's baseball legend Sandy Koufax sinking a 20 footer. Our sports reporter Laurie Singer was at the pro am tournament in 1978 when it was known as The Andy Williams San Diego Open. Artie Ojeda was at Shearson Lehman in 1990. A lot of big stars attended and Bob Hope showed off his golf skills at both.
