In Romans 8, Paul expands and explains the process of transformation into a new creation fashioned after a type of which Christ is the first. In this world, all men are born after the type of Adam and from him we inherit sin and death. However, Christs inheritance is the spirit of life, that though the body dies, the spirit lives and brings the body to life again, which is the resurrection. It is not by law or doing good that anyone is saved but by believing in him, asking for and receiving the Holy spirit who initiates this transformation. After this scripture also says that only those who remain in Christ to the very end are saved. John 15 1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes [1] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 5 "I am the vine; you are the branches.
