I was on a different ship and saw your cruise in Raud Fjord. Your sighting are amazing. It appears we saw many of the same bears. I am definitely interested in the history of your viewings.

I think we saw a total of 7 polar bear sightings during the entire trip! it was quite amazing! Unfortunately I don't have a pinpoint map of where we saw each polar bear sighting. we had 1 area where there was a mother bear feeding her cub on one day, another day we saw a polar bear crossing the tundra and swimming and fishing (that is the one we both probably saw) and another day we had 3 bear sightings a mother bear and 2 cubs feeding on a walrus carcass and a 3rd male polar bear nearby, the 4th sighting we had a lone skinny bear sleeping on the ice near the glacier shelf.

@@trekrover It is not so much the quantity as the quality. 🙂 You had some good sightings. Some of my sightings were quite far, but just seeing it was amazing.

That is very exciting! Unfortunately I did not have a travel forum to discuss my trip when I was planning. I ended up going through Quark Expedition to book my itinerary and activities. There is a Reddit thread on Svalbard which might be a good start: www.reddit.com/r/Svalbard/?rdt=55748
Here is also the official Svalbard website on planning and what to do in Svalbard: en.visitsvalbard.com/
