@@anugrah1921 Yea, but if you're going to be doing a video rating emblems, maybe you could so a little research to know why they chose that design instead of just saying "ew" and moving on.
@@Dr_Dray Then please explain why, give your arguments IN THE VIDEO. Otherwise, you might just give the feeling you are bashing this emblem without clear reason.
The Stripes going up the 1980 logo and meeting the star at the top are also reminiscent of the silhouettes of Moscow's "Seven Sisters", which are a series of 7 relatively similar Stalinist skyscrapers around Moscow
Both Mexico 68 and Rio 2016 emblems resemble the ones used for the world cup (Mexico 70 and Brazil 2014). P.S. are you planning to rank World Cup emblems too?)
I'm obsessed with olympic iconography My favorites are Rome 1960, Moscow 1980, Sydney 2000, Salt Lake 2002, Athens 2004, Torino 2006, Beijing 2022, and LA 2028 My least favorites are Montreal 1976, Lake Placid 1980, and Albertsville 1992
I was watching this and it was so well made I didn't even realize how small of a channel you were It felt so high quality Keep it up I really enjoyed it :)
With so many of these it seems like the text and the rings are an afterthought. All my favorite ones actually try and integrate everything in a nice way (Mexico, Montreal, Tokyo, Sydney). I also love LA 1984, the text brings it down but the stars and stripes represent the country well and it looks like it should be on an ad for running shoes. I think the Winter Olympics ones are overall better and you should make a video on them
Each of the numbers in the 2012 london emblem represents the shape of a continent. The 2= europe. 0= asia, 1=africa, 2=north and south america. And the dot in the middle=australia. So its not completely random
The 2012 logo is inspired by the 80s pop culture in the UK, the era was energetic, youthful and bright, and that’s what the Olympics also have in common, I got that from a design website and the Olympic Committee should have a better explanation
I agree with many of your takes but I would make some changes based on personal preferences. Firstly: The logos of 32 and 36 are F for me. 32 is just a mix of boring sybolism and bad design. The german eagle of 36 is throning above the olympic symbols (suggesting germany is above all) and therefore contradicts the spirit of the games => bad olympic logo. The rest are purely personal taste: I'm not a huge fan of mexico 68, B-tier, melburne is ab bit unnecessary complex, montreal is to boring, both C-Tier, Paris 24 has nice symbolism but just isn't that intresting to me, A tier, London 48 deserves more love imo, only Logo where you instantly recognise the city and just a nice motiv, should be a little bit simpler for a logo, B-tier. Lastly La 28: Just make a logo and commit to it or let it be, D-tier
If the distance between the sun and the rings were not that close in Tokyo 64, I can see it being in B tier but S? no shot. Moscow 80 really is the best though.
S tiers are all L except Tokyo 64, drop Moscow to A, Mexico to B at best and the other ones can have a chat with Rome in F. Bump LA and Munchen to A as well.
Bro doesn't know the history behind the Rome emblem.
Yeah lol honestly kinda dissapointing.
disappointing but we can't expect everyone to know it right off the bat.

I'm aware of it and the founding myth of Rome, I just don't think it's a very good emblem design.

In school, we were always told the second 2 in the 2012 logo was meant to look like a map of the UK
great content, but as ericboer said, the rio 2016 emblem is in the shape of the sugar loaf peak

I get the same vibe with the 2026 world cup and LA 2028 too
@matteocarniglia6661 I wasn't before but now I definitely am; thank you for the idea

The Rio 2016 logo isn’t abstract at all! It’s in the shape of the famous Sugar Loaf Mountain. It also reads “Rio”, if you look closely.

The Rio 2016 emblem also resembles the Sugar Loaf
Anyone remember the 2012 logo looking like lisa and bart... doing something?
Rio was to much underrated 😢
Montreal being A-tier is a scorching hot take
Honestly, it's just a bunch of red and hollow metal pipes stacked on each other in a very specific way

When will you make a winger games logo tier list
@giomedina6980 Not sure yet, but it's definitely on my list of video ideas
another small youtuber :o
13:35 that looks like the American Airlaines logo
The Rio logo looks like a pacifier and I can't ever unsee it
I have always thought condom or nipple, but pacifier works. That said, I don't think it is a terrible logo.
I really don't like Paris 2024 with the weird Rachel-from-Friends hair look
Wow ! You went quite far in comparing the Olympic flame to a sitcom character. I feel it's like comparing the Grand Canyon to a dirty leg wound.
