Thanks, I do both wire racks 12 pieces of bacon and the bottom tray gets the fat from the top and then half way switch the trays, good flavour. If you don’t want it to smoke bake it @ 350 and you don’t get the heavy smoke, time is base on how crispy you want the bacon.
Remember, cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of bacon used. Since making this video I've probably made bacon 3 times already... it's almost too good and easy . What is your favorite way to cook bacon, Air Fryer or otherwise? Links for everything used and ordering information are in the description along with my contact info. Hope this video helps you 🥓🍽😋.
Thanks! I did 2 trays of bacon back to back (almost a pound of bacon) and my house was so full of smoke!-- it took forever to get rid of it. Thanks for the bread tip--I don't have a bar pan.
Happy to help. Love bacon but hate the smell if it smokes off. I sometimes set the Air Fryer next to my oven on the counter and point/angle the exhaust vent towards the oven... turn on the oven's exhaust vent and it works pretty good. Never recommend putting the Air Fryer on the stove top though, that could end up really bad if a burner gets bumped on.
I have not. I love it in the pan and clean up is so easy I would be worried about the mess in the basket and in the fryer. But I have seen people do it that way and like it.
Very true, the most I've done in one bar pan is 4 slices (haven't tried two bar pans at once). You can cook much more on the trays 🥓🥓. Let me know what you think of the taste difference if you try it.
@@PamperedChefWithKatie if you did a bar pan on lowest shelf and a regular tray on a slot above - the tray above would drip down to bar pan level lol - I may try that
@@KelticMist we also have a new mess catcher that is drips into a silicone tray. That also helps with the smoke. www.pamperedchef.com/pws/pcwithkatie/shop/Small+Appliances/Air+Fryer/Deluxe+Air+Fryer+Mess+Catcher/100468
So idk why you didn't just put foil around your trays? That would take care of literally all your problems! I always do that. Then you're not wasting so much bread for no reason.
I don't b/c I follow the rules to this Air Fryer, and tin foil is not to be used in it. Also, bread is cheaper than tin foil, and I can turn them into croutons.

I put slices of bread in the drip pan and then cut them up and use them as croutons
That's what I call a win-win situation 🥓🍞😋
I wonder if you can use two bar pans to make 6 slices? Thanks

Please summarize here bar pan cooking details. Bar pan how long which setting? Appreciate
On what setting and time?
Have you tried using the basket to cook the bacon?
I have not. I love it in the pan and clean up is so easy I would be worried about the mess in the basket and in the fryer. But I have seen people do it that way and like it.
I agree negative only do 3 slices but taste is more important
You can get 4 on there, tastes better and so much less mess to clean up.
can you please tell me how to make drop biscuits in the air fryer? right now its gonna be trial and error :)
Unfortunately I haven't made drop biscuits yet but they sound interesting. What recipes have you tried?
Seems like bar pan option is way easier and not so messy even uf u have to do two batches. BUT why not try two bar pans so u get to make 6 slices.
I have thought about that but haven't tried it yet. It will also probably take longer to cook if you do 2 pans.
3 pieces?? It would take a long time to do it for a family.

Can you put water in the drip tray instead of bread to keep it from smoking?
I have never tried that so I am not sure.
Isn't your appliance actually an air fryer / toaster oven?
It is a Air Fryer that you can toast in but it isn't a toaster oven. This cooks with heat an air and a toaster oven only cooks with heat.
Twist it!!!
I've seen that... do you like the taste when they are twisted better? It seems like some do it that way to take up less space.
Can you use the bread for a bacon sandwich? 😂
