    Why the heck didn't I think of this? I picked up a pneumatic drill a few weeks ago. Thanks man.

    Just had this problem today. Luckily, my neighbor had a screw extractor set and we were able to hammer the bits in deep enough to get good tension and just unscrew using a wrench while maintaining that bit in place with the other hand after hammering it in a bit with good force.

      It’s powered by air through an air compressor outside the water. Any other type of drill would fry and be a serious hazard underwater.

    Just curious, after getting out the light fixture, did you just wipe down the pneumatic drill and let it air dry. I would be worried about rust and damage from the water and chlorine.

    what did you do to put the new light back in after damaging the tabs?

    • @everythinghomerepair1747
      @everythinghomerepair1747 2 месяца назад

      He didn’t damage anything. Just drilled out the screw head and used vice grips to remove the rest of the screw. A new light and screw can be installed no problem.

    My screw socket broke now I cant screw in my light what do I do?

      Put a thin layer of POOL PUTTY all around the edge of the light fixture and that will cement the light fixture in place as well as seal it

    Whoever thought it was a good idea to install a regular X screw needs their head examined. I'm replacing mine with a hex....never have to worry again

    Who actually has an underwater drill?
    I understand this video isn’t specifically for education, im not trying to be a dick. but for those of you who came to figure out how to do this without an underwater drill, use an impact driver and a hammer or a center punch.
