Hey I'm so glad your video has got no thumbs down, and I hope never any thumbs down, only thumbs up. You got one from me. Nell's sleep paralysis fascinated me the most about this series, not only because of great acting, but because I know exactly what this feels like. I had sleep paralysis too many times and scary creatures just stands there and look at me and I can't move a finger. It's extremely unpleasant. Victoria Pedretti is a natural talent. This is her first film and for this role she deserve and Oscar and a Golden Globe + many other awards.
Hey, thank you a lot for your kind words! And honestly her sleep paralysis is one of the reasons why I love her so much, I can kinda relate to her aswell, even though I have a different sleeping condition. Anyway, the actress was like you said amazing and deserves way more recognition for her acting.
Also, I'm sorry to hear about your sleep paralysis, and I hope it doesn't happen too often.

@@whiteswans Thank you so much! My sleep paralysis occurs not so often, maybe 2-3 times a year, and I guess even that is too often, but it happens more when I'm really exhausted. If I feel tired but too intense and unrelaxed to sleep it use to occur, especially when I have serious hangover, so I try not to drink. At hangover it usually occurs the moment I fall asleep, that's why I'm afraid of falling asleep in that condition. When I'm in normal good shape, it happens usually right before I wake up. When I was younger, around 20, I was able to perform out-of-body-experience. A paralysing current attacked me, and the harder I strained my muscles the more they tightened, so I was trapped. By focusing on a certain point in the roof I was able to raise up from my body. I had to use mind-power, not the normal physical effort. I could have advanced this for longer journeys, but it's long ago I was able to do this. At sleep paralysis I feel the presence of something or someone in the room, sometimes some creature sitting on my chest, so I struggle to breath. Just like Nell said in the series is my experience: "It usually takes 1 - 2 minutes before I'm able to move again, but for me it feels like forever". I was blown away by the way she described it and how it was filmed. Really intelligent series! I've experienced many things, but no Bent-Neck Lady yet. If she appeared, I would think of Victoria Pedretti's beautiful smile to calm down. She did so much for this series, I really adore her. Very nice talking with you :-)

@@whiteswans Thank you so much! It's more and more seldom the sleep paralysis occur. I think I had it only once this year, and it happened twice 2 months ago, each time after drinking for almost a week, so I better not do that. It's very unhealthy too. Maybe by stop drinking the sleep paralysis will go away, but there's no guarantee, though. But I hope :-) I wish you the very best too. From Norway, with love.

@@whiteswans what makes it even more sad, is that she doesn't want to die at the end of the episode. and then she realizes she is the bent-neck lady. it's like she deserved a happy ending but what she got was the most terrifying thing one could imagine. even the last episode doesn't make it a happy ending. since she's stuck in this terrible house seperated from her siblings and Arthur, with her scarry af insane mother. at least she has her father at the end by her side. still messed up story.
also the show has to be blamed for being this well written with carefully crafted characters. They make you "fall in love" with Nell by making her the most lovable and nicest person in the whole series (as child and as young adult). There are no bad character traits of her and all her actions and feelings are 100% relatable. Also she's the youngest and even as an adult still remains a little girl you want to protect. And the actress Victoria Pedretti is phenomnal, too.
The show makes you love her and wanting to protect her and then breaks your heart by killing her in this gruesome way.
i loved the show but episode 5 is like the worst to watch :D at least you get kind of a shift in episode 6 and get distracted by the 4 epic plan sequences ^^
