Every game I see Rasmus running himself into the ground trying to score, Making runs pressing I honestly feel bad for him he deserves a goal

Rasmus is a talented beast. UCL top goalscorer, scored against each team in the group including Bayern. He's not even had 6 months at the club, it will come.
Not to pin it all on one player but I feel as though Shaw’s return is gonna be huge for Rasmus.
And Rashford even more so!!

We are missing Shaw A LOT. Still unsure if I'd rather he returned to play LB or LCB. Probably a game by game decision but he's so crucial to our deep ball progression & build up.

The players spent the second half of last season playing with Weghorst up front who wasn't a goal threat at all. Imo it'll take time to adjust to a proper striker who makes the runs a striker should make. Just a matter of time

Hojlund is a talented player. Antony, Rashy and Bruno are simply not feeding him enough. We saw what he can do with his Champions League brace. The Butcher's return will have a dramatic improvement in our possession and speed of progression meaning Bruno gets the ball faster and by extension how many chances Hojlund gets fed.
Speed of play is a big concern without Licha & Shaw orchestrating from deep
Agreed but Bruno still needs to work on his pass completion % per game.
It starts at the back clearing the ball from the back. United just kick and hope means less ball less control in attack a high ball 50/50 in the air better at the feet.but the midfield are struggling as well.the weak disorganized United defenceman.
That only works if mcTominay and Casemiro are not able to cover ground or distribute.
Tonight, Hojlund's first goal was through an underlap leading to a low cross/pass!
Unfortunately, I don't remember seeing it after that 🤔
But HOPEFULLY it's the first of many goals like that.
I also hope ETH realises he HAS to make us play like his Ajax team, because it's what he knows how to coach to the best of his ability, unlike the muddled and ineffective tactics we usually see 😕

As am writing already he scored goals in the night of champions league in the (30min)when United played one of best football. It's means if United plays like that no one will stop him.

Because ten Hag keeps insisting on picking both Rashford and Antony on the opposite side to their stronger foot, thus never beating their full back on the outside and put a quality cross in for Hojlund! If we can see this, why can’t our manager! By not picking Antony at all will help. Get Rashford on our right and Mount or Garnacho or Pellestri on the left and also alternate to give defenders something to think about! Not rocket science Erik!
Well said , too stuck in the Dutch way of having wingers cut in when they're not doing enough to , having one invert works but needs to be countered with someone who holds the width , which Anthony and our current Fullbacks can't do

Our player management from the pre-season into the start of the season wasn't good at all.

No Martinez nor Varane. Leads to no high line. That leads to Hojlund having to drop deep. Meaning he gets the ball in 0.01 xg zones. Another thing which is awful is lack of Luke Shaw and no money for Frimpong which basically unlock the target man. Such as City did with silva.
I think personally that having Bruno as a full back and him making double pivot with Casimiro would unlock possession issues. Van Bissaka I'm sorry but it's over. We can't compensate anymore

Want to know how? By moving on Bruno, Rashford, Antony and several other players. They are all ass and simply not good enough. Rasmus himself aint great either but hes GOOD and has potential. Build a better squad and Utd can rise, keep this up and watch as you go from mid table team you are right now to bottom.

Why isn't Hojlund scoring? It's because he is playing with Rashford and Antony.
He scored 9 goals in Serie A the previous year, why would he be expected to score at United. He's got potential but playing the number 9 at United isn't about potential it's about production, so why would anyone (aside a desperate United fan or fan channel) expect him to score with any regularity. United have their issues indeed but to try an explain that it's United's issues that are the reason he's not scoring is a bit of a stretch. Let's say it's a bit of both and leave it at that. It's not like this is Harry Kane or Erling Haaland at United not scoring in which case we could look at United as the problem because those guys have a proven body of work. The boy may turn out to be a world class scorer or a good prem scorer but he's not a consistent goal scorer at this moment. United, when they were dominant, had Hughes, Cantona, Cole, Van Nistleroy, Van Persie, etc, etc. None of those guys were obtained as potential goal scorers, they were the finished product.

It was the same problem with Weghorst last season. They never used him properly so that he could have an impact.
He receives poor balls. Like just kicking it upfront. There is a lot to correct and work upon about how united play. They make even the good players look poor
