    I can relate, I'm a newly licensed Physical Therapist Assistant so we only get 200 questions for the NPTE. I bought Base Camp and used the Base Camp Arena app and went over more than 3,000 questions. And did 450 in sight questions and reviewed 400 PEAT questions. I just got my results today and passed. I was doubting myself because those extra 50 questions that don't count make you feel like you might fail. I'm glad you passed, I studied hard for a month and 3 weeks, so I know how much you can improve in a short time.

    Hey, man! Thanks for the tips and motivation. I didn't pass my previous attempts so I'm gonna do your 6-week schedule for the October 2021 exam. I got the Scorebuilders book as well so I think this will be the difference maker this time around! How did you manage your time while taking the NPTE? The way I did it, I would give myself at least 1 minute per question in a section.
    So that would be 50 questions multiplied by 1 so it would be 50 mins give or take for 50 questions (with 10 mins as cushion to review previous items). So I would try to do 1 hour per section BUT I think this was my downfall because in a way, I'd get pressured by the time lol. Also I feel like the way I did it wouldn't help me utilize the whole 5 hours wisely. Idk! Hope to hear some of your tips in how you managed your time while taking the NPTE!

    • @drjustinleedpt

      Hey man. Im sorry to hear about your failed attempts. Im sure as you're studying for the exam, it's bringing you a lot of anxiety.. I cant promise that you will pass with my 6 week schedule, but I can share that I passed with it and teach you what I did for this.
      Frankly, I think that strategy of spending 1 min per question is not the smartest (for reasons you mentioned). What I did to manage my time during the exam was: I approached each question and if I was confident with my answer I selected my answer and moved on (never looked back at that question), but if there was a question that was a toss up between 2 answers, I picked one answer but "marked it." and lastly if there was a question that I had no clue, I "marked" it quickly and moved on. That way when I have time at the end, I went back to my marked questions to spend more time there. Hope that helps!

    I am just wondering how many hours you were studying a day? Also, on your test days, were you also reviewing what you got wrong on that day or did you save that for another day? I am starting to try to decide how to break my study schedule up.

    • @drjustinleedpt
      @drjustinleedpt  2 года назад

      Great question! I think I spent about 5-7 hours for 5-6 days a week for these 6 weeks. And yeah I would take the exam and then take a break. Then review what I got wrong and why and study it hard. Then I would be toast for the day. Then the next day I would immediate review what I got wrong and again and why. That’s called active recall. This is the technique that helped me the most! Force yourself to remember!
