South Central is an underrated show despite the fact it only lasted 10 episodes. It was originally offered to CBS, the pilot was pitched to the network hoped to be picked up for the Fall 1993 Season lineup during the 1993-1994 Season but CBS turned it down, FOX Broadcasting picked up the show and it premiered on April 5,1994 as a mid-season replacement airing Tuesdays after Roc but was cancelled after only ten episodes.
Then, when Bobby offers her a job, she has the audacity to complain about the salary and the duties and turn it down before coming to her senses and taking it!
This was a good show. Had so great talent and future stars. Lamont Bentley played his best friend. My favorite episode was the one when he was gonna fight on the city bus, Lamont jumped out of the moving city bus window. Good job having his back, lol.. I never got why she had that Deon boy when she was struggling taking care of the 2 she already had. Good show. Clifton Powell and Jennifer Lopez guest starring, she has a stank attitude on this episode.

I see why Tasha was always upset . She was always having to take care of the little one Deion. It was not her responsibility . The mom should have been doing it. Another thing Joan was snobbish to not have a job. She should of been grateful to get anything .
That’s the thing, Joan. You can’t lie about matters and look desperate then expect to get the job.-You lied about your education, your specific job title and past duties. Then, you beg him to “give” you the job as opposed to you actually “earning” the position. Once your integrity has left, so has your chance of earning the position! Then, she brought up too much about her personal life.

Pretty good show. Too bad it was on the same time as Full House on ABC and Rescue 911 on CBS or else it may have gotten a second season

Unfortunately, this great show aired for only a few episodes (about 8 or so).
I remember this show on UPN and this was a great show . It should have lasted more that 1 season. Sadly we didn't support this showl
