- I traveled from Tokyo to San Francisco on Japan Airlines Business Class.
I was also able to use the first class lounge, so I will introduce that as well.

Wow…JAL first class lounge looks like ANA business/premium economy lounge. ANA business class has access to shower rooms also. 🙂

FYI to those who would like to take this flight. JAL is a One World member, so if you have points with partner airlines, you can use them here. My wife and I have used points from both American and Alaska Airlines. With Alaska, you can also get a free stopover in case your trip takes you further into Asia, but you want some time in Japan.

The window seat is so much more private. It's a pity that the aisle seat doesn't have a door - probably not enough room to fit.
Yes, window seats seem to be more popular than aisle seats!

4:26 2-2-2 configuration for business class sucks.
It’s not a 2-2-2 configuration, it’s a 2-3-2, but it works. Been fortunate enough to have been on this flight a couple of times using AA and Alaska points. Sleep-wise, I find this configuration better than the 1-2-1 configuration, mainly because of the design of the seat. In 1-2-1, they made the footwell rather small and seemingly on a bit of an angle. At 6’2” tall and size 12 feet, I found it uncomfortable. The 1-2-1 was a flight from Singapore to Haneda. The 2-3-2 had a larger footwell and no angle, so for taller, bigfoots like myself, it’s more comfortable.
Be ever so careful in California...it is a very dangerous place!!!
