final-fucking-ly, that's all I have to say
the verse i did the multilanguage on is 'who is the monster and who is the man? / sing the bells (x9) of notre dame'
my favourite versions are arabic and english, leave your faves in the comment section if you want to :)
i got the full list of singers from charguigou's website, go check it out please: tinyurl.com/cha...
everything belongs to the walt disney company (no copyright infringement intended)
Dutch and Greek are so good
but in the book of Victor Hugo
Claude Frollo was a simple priest who lost his parents to the plague, inherited the mill (the one that he set on fire in the cartoon), taught and educated his young brother Jean, and also added a hunchback child when the parisians wanted to burn him , because of pity for Jean. and in 1482 he died when he laughed after the hanging of Agnessa when Quasimodo threw down
(Esmeralda's real name, which the old nun gave her, after she had a child stolen from her and instead of Agnessa, gypsys threw a Quasimodo. After 2 years, his skeleton and the skeleton of Agnessa were found in hug .
I think Hunchback of Notre Dame 1996 is the best cartoon of Disney for all times ; but in my opinion - book of Hugo is better , it have more deep plot .
12:22 russ. "kto zdyes chudovishche a kto cheloviek ?
vam raskazhut lish kolokola sobora noter dam"
One of the most difficult disney songs to sing and some countries failed so bad like Spain (for both castilian and catalan). Their singers are not able to hit the last note but I'd rather prefer other countries like Czech Republik that used the falsetto instead of changing the whole melody. My favorites (for the ending): Dutch (probably the best singer of them all), Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, latin spanish, norwegian, Polish, Russian and english.
I think the same
Fun fact, Greek is an entirely different translation!
"Who is the angel and who is the devil and everywhere bells ring in the heart of her holiness" (Greek term to reffair to Mary)
Thanks) I’m really glad you liked the Russian version)))
excuse me but why not portuguese BR? I mean, hear that high C, man.

If you see Menken credited at any point, you will hear the Kandel cut.
Why they drowned Kandel out with the bells and chorus and made it so that only dogs can hear that note in all its glory, I have no freaking clue, but good god. My ultimate hope regarding this scene is that one day we will hear Kandel's voice nailing that note in full splendor with the chorus, bells, and music removed. Somebody please please please remove everything but the raw vocals and give us BOND in full acapella.
UPDATE: Never mind; it is MUCH clearer in the Hungarian version, despite the fade-out at the end.
Though that may have been all Kandel was able to hold it for; I don't know because the EN version gets drowned. Regardless, it is still extremely impressive. Still want to hear it in full acapella though.

Amazing - this moment never gets old. Interesting that some of the translations seem to have cut in Paul Kandel (original vocalist) for the high D - all of these men have stunning voices but it’s considered an impossible male note for a reason! Even some of the vocalists with better tone (Dutch) have to take a big breath before the note, while others slide right into it with the previous breath, no breaks. Bravo to all of them!
ETA example: Compare 0:34 to 4:53 and 5:19, etcetera. Anything Menken is co-listed on has the Kandel cut.
Feel like the Polish guy who doesn't switch tone at all and absolutely HAMMERS the vibrato on the top note is not getting anywhere near the love he deserves
Bravi🇮🇹🇬🇷
the italian version sounds strained imo
@@dobbyfreebitch
No lo creo imo, credo sia normale
certo, i don't think it's bad by any means. i just think there are versions with a better belt and whose vocals sound healthier placed.
@@dobbyfreebitch
For example?..sorry but I'm curious 😅😅
english, polish and arabic for example! i also don’t mind some of the versions that decided to go for the falsetto instead of the belt.
9:26 He is the only baritone singer who can accomplish such a high note.
BELLS OF NOTREEEEE DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME
I like that part very much, thank you for choosing it for your multilanguage! My favorites are Arabic, English, German, Greek (I like the line too "who is the angel and who is the satan"), Hebrew, Russian and Norwegian.
I love this part too so no problem, I really enjoyed making it! :) All lovely choices and yeah, I could swear I heard Konstantínos say 'satanás' (Portuguese word for 'satan') but I thought it was just a coincidence eheh.
dobbyfreebitch Indeed? Cool I didn't know that!! It's really wonderful to see that my language has a common words with other languages. It's kind of moving 💞💞💞💞💞
Actually, it's a word with Hebrew roots however it's still wonderful.
I mean, Greek has had a big impact in pretty much all languages I'd say. There's a lot of Portuguese words that have Greek origins. Btw, your language and culture are awesome!!
dobbyfreebitch Oh, you are so kind! Thank you so much! I like Portuguese language, I have a small preference to Brazilian because it's sounds so poetic, like someone is on a theater and read a poem. European Portuguese is like someone always singing just like in Spanish and I find it romantic.
Oh, really? We do have other words of Greek origin tho like: apogeu, catarse, quimera, etc. Idk why but they all sound very beautiful.
Cláudio Galvan representando muito. ❤️❤️
Sim!!!!
What a good scene for a multi! This moment gives me goosebumps, and the editing is simple but really well made. I'm glad you uploaded a video again after all this time :)
I love this scene to death too! And thank you so much!! x

Hungarian just re-uses Paul's last two notes. Most of them do, really.
@@ZoraCatone yeap you are right, the Hungarian mixing is just confusing
What about english ?
Is no-one gonna talk about that vibrato in the Quebec French version? I'm way too biased towards the version of my native language (Greek) but damn, that vibrato? So clean and strong!

Dutch is my own language, but I think by far Dutch is the best singer... his voice acting is also phenomenal. The voice is clear, fits the character and the notes are spot on. Greek one actually a great job but they mixed him in terribly, so you can barely hear he sung it great. Indonesian gets a sticker for trying. Polish and Slovak are actually pretty good too!
agree
Best 15mn I’ve ever spent ❤️❤️❤️❤️
9:26 NOTHIN' CAN BEAT THAT!

Where’d they find Paul Kandel cuz I’ve never heard a singer in a movie like that before.

Arrepios everywhere!

Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks.
Interesting to see that the flemish, French (my native language) and Hungarian version used the original last note, unfortunately in the flemish we can hear the transition because of the mixing which is not very good, in the french version it's pretty smooth and in the Hungarian version they had the good idea to switch just before the last note which make the transition smoother
The Br portuguese used too

If you don't mind me asking, why do French, Flemish and Hungarian include Alan Menken?
DragonPride699 André Maia (Portuguese voice of Clopin) revealed in an exclusive interview that Paul Kandel couldn’t hit the high note at the end so they asked the composer, Alan Mencken, to do it instead. When I was doing the multi I noticed how similar the French high note sounded to the original version so I went from there and started checking if any other international version had used Alan Menken as well! :)
dobbyfreebitch I'm not sure if it's Mencken? It just sounds nothing like him Nd his range isn't that high. But I could be wrong. It's a fabulous multilanguage
DragonPride699 it’s Paul Kandel
@@dobbyfreebitch In the French version I don't think they used Alan Menken for the high note. If you listen closely, it really seems they used the voice of Carlo Ragone, from the Italian version.
@@gohan037 No, that’s definitely the original English note
