- ''In this 3D animated short we follow the journey of a little Gecko, living inside an Alzheimer’s patient mind, resembling his earliest childhood memory. As the disease progresses, neurons start falling apart and his memories descend from above. The Gecko intuitively tries to catch them before they fade, but there are simply too many for him to save...''
Guyss! This is our finished 5th project! We had quite a hassle with this and the story is a bit tricky, but it's finally done!
Nevertheless, I am very satisfied with my team and I look forward to improving my skills in regards of animation in our next project. It's our first time animating in Blender and it was a very sweet experience in comparison to Maya.
Info: Sculpted in Zbrush, Textured in Substance Painter, Rigged and Animated in Blender, Lighting in Houdini, Rendered in Redshift, Edited in Nuke and DaVinci and a few more Softwares.

If you are still here, I love you ♥ Кино
Disney has lost their ability to make viewers feel anything, that ability is being attained by artists like you.
Keep it up
Disney makes everything lovey-dovey in the end, witch really annoys me
@@nemtheys I agree, theres zero stakes in their movies.
@@bluefoxthecutest2628 yeah! And they do not 2d animation anymore witch is personally my favorite type of animation! I really have never liked Disney or Pixar
I honestly feel for all of you! While yes 3d animation is amazing with great talent, some of us prefer 2d animation, and the whole "one character has to die in a very emotional/tramautic way" is sickening. Some children might have been terrified of Bing Bong dying or when Tarzan's antagonist is hung.
I wouldn’t say lost, i’d just say they don’t use it in favour of ‘live action remakes’
The subtleties in the gecko’s movement were so mesmerizing
Like the breathing patterns and the cheeks and the focusing of the eyes like
And the weight in the legs when he stepped down to look at the orb

I really like the message the story is bringing, and by using a fun character such as the gecko to make it more interactive and visual. Once again, you never fail to impress me Scyrina

My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s about two or three years ago. This animation was not only incredibly stunning and beautiful it also within just a few minutes explained more than pages and pages of research on the topic because it revealed the truly emotional side of this disease. The visuals were gorgeous and I can’t say enough about the idea of and symbolism in this piece because there is just too much to say. but all I can say is thank you for putting into visual what I and many others can barely say with words. This is so beautiful and your work is truly outstanding.
I'm sorry to hear that.
My grandmother and great grandmother were also diagnosed with Alzheimer's few years ago. Lost them a few months ago.
This animation made me cry because I've once again remembered what those people go through.
@@zikimedarkera8435 oh my! I am sorry to hear that! This made me cry, I wish I could do something but I can't do anything. All I can do is watch. Hope you are doing fine!
Yeah, I get why you might think that, maybe the film is about that, I kinda think it might be about death.. But who knows, I though it was maybe about Alzheimer's too. Pretty sad your family member had to fall to this disease, sorry about that, hope there doing okay.
I don’t know what that is but it sounds bad to have :(((((

NO NOT THAT PLEASE.
Oh my actual god. I love this so much. The characters are so well designed and everything looks so pleasing and detailed! You are such a talented animator! I would love this to become a movie! :0
You really inspire me!!!! I love this so so much
My favorite thing about this animation is not just the beautiful and lively animation but that withing the first 10 seconds you already know what this is about and all it took was "Who are you?". Beautiful.
Woah, this is amazing! Personally I think it actually looks even better than "Pawsys new home", somehow more natural looking. The scales on the little lizard buddy are so detailed!
Honestly the improvement between the two of these is absolutely crazy for just a year. Pawsy's new home is really good, but at times the movement felt a bit stiff. This one though the movement feels completely fluid and life-like, so much so that they were able to convey the gecko's personality through movement alone
@@cicidiaries yeah,exactly!
This is breathtaking, I have no idea how else to describe such talent and something so magnificent
This is a beautiful animation on its own with details such as movements lights and setting. Even the little details make it beautiful. But if you read the description along with it, it's even more beautiful. Alzheimer's is a disease that causes people to lose their memories and other functions as well. The beautiful blue orbs represent memories, which fall to the ground and lose colors when they are forgotten. But the scene that I find the most beautiful, is the last one. When all the memories that the gecko tried to save float down the river. The gecko has one last memory, and decides to let it drift away with the others. I found that specific scene so beautiful, because when the gecko lets it float down the river it makes me imagine letting go. This animation shows that memories don't last forever. You can't save them all. But as you age, there's always a time where you need to let go.
I'm 26 and have chronic Lyme disease. It's like I have selective dementia. I remember facts about the world and about my life but I do not remember my memories. My life is without color and emotion. I live partially in the now and in an incredibly fragmented foggy past. Even though it would be beneficial for me to constantly live in the present I am tormented with the terrifying reality that I cannot end the torture of fragments of memories coming to me and filling me with great sorrow for all the things that I have forgotten and will never remember. The sound of my boyfriend singing, The look of my mother's face on my birthday smiling at me, The emotions I had when I said my last words to my grandfauther; I know that these things happened but I cannot remember what it was actually like. I know that I kissed his forehead but I cannot even remember what I said to him or the emotions that I felt. Everything is without color not because I'm depressed, but because I cannot remember but it's like to be me. I don't exist.
Look how far you've come, Scyrina! This animation is absolutely stunning! You could literally make a video game like this.
Never stop doing whatever makes you happy!
How are your animations so godly????? Like, w h a t????
I don’t understand how something animated can look so freeekin beautiful
I cant believe there are still people who don't know the full visual splendor of this gloriously versatile medium
Watching this and keeping the title in mind, it's actually really sad. . . I nearly cried. . Beautiful. ❤
I just started the video, and I’m already impressed by the level of detail in this
Honestly this is the best thing I’ve ever seen in my whole entire life, no Pixar, or disney movies can beat this, this is honestly a beautiful thing ever-
you are amazing
You probably didnt watch kitbull by pixar lol.
Your biggest mistake I did lmao
Same This is godly animation
Uhm... I have but for a RUclipsr’s standards, this is absolutely positively phenomenal. Toy story 4, coco and Incredibles 2 all beat this but for their standards that’s understandable.
FreeSpiritPaulette oh?
I had this sitting in my "Watch Later" playlist for 2 months. Man, this was good!
Such a short and simple story, but the detail and the story it tells and shows is astounding, very well done!
I honestly would love to say everything, but, you've only heard so much that what I say would only be repetitive.
All I want to say is, as cutely animated it is, it hurt me deep down because I know my Dad will be going through it one day, he might even forget what I accomplished. In fact, he's already forgotten what I've done in the passed yet here he is working through the quarantine days to get money for us.
I love this short and it brings me tears, thank you for this. Bless your hearts
This animator right here is ✨u n d e r r a t e d✨
This short really tells a story even though it is very vague
I love how the lizard just accepted that all these memories will just fade away once you grow up
This short is very sad, this could be a Disney movie
Also keep up the good work and Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas everyone
This is really amazing!! Everything is so detailed and smooth- ACK SO PERFFFEEECCTTTT AND MEANINGFULLL 💕💞💕💖💓💗💕
I absolutely love this! My absolute favorite thing about this animation was the visuals. They really look absolutely beautiful. And I especially love how that gecko was designed and modeled. The animation kind of has a couple of hiccups in some scenes but overall a really great animation. Nice work once again. 👍
This is so beautiful. I’ve loved seeing your skill grow, you have a serious amount of talent. Great job to everyone who worked on this as well 💜
This made me bawl my eyes out, my grandma is slowly starting to forget things and I keep thinking about how one day is she gonna remember me, and it's scary but I appreciate the fact you took something so serious and animated it for us all. Thank you
This hits home for me (my grandfather died of Alzheimer’s last December, and it’s possible that it’s hereditary). It’s unbelievably sad, but not only did you pick an uncommonly discussed issue, the symbolism and art are absolutely STUNNING. The detail is mind blowing, and I can only image how much work went into it. Well done 👏🏻
This is truly gorgeous. Absolutely stunning. You and your team should be proud.
I lost my Grandmother to Rapid Progressive Dementia about ½ a month ago and seeing her mind deteriorate over such a short amount of time was....crushing, to put it simply.
In her final days she was completely immobile. No words just rhythmic breathing. No responses.
I was living out of town at the time but I was able to visit her one last time, the evening I returned home.
I stayed 2 hours that evening, said my final Goodbyes, even though I didn't want to. Half an hour after me and my family left, she passed away.
My Gran's is a peace but I'm glad she was able to hold on so I could see her one final time.
Thank you for this. My Gran would of loved it.👍🏻
THIS IS TRULY AMAZING!!
now THIS is story telling. Just from visuals and small little audio bits alone, I was able to piece together the story perfectly. Sometimes in independent films/animations I need to read something in order to understand the meaning behind what I’m watching. The audio and visuals helped make the story understandable without needing an explanation. That’s just amazing. Your independent films are some of the best I’ve seen.
The concept of it is so interesting! I have never seen anything like this before!
Awww D: That’s such sad symbolism, but so beautifully executed
I live the gecko’s expressions and the atmosphere! It’s so ethereal, wondrous, and captivating! Amazing job to everyone! Also great story concept too
Ill always remember you, that made me cry :(
Honestly this in million times better than Disney movies Respect
I’m so early to this amazing short! Was totally worth the wait! Its so smooth and detailed! Aaaa I cant stress enough how good it is.
At first, I watched through the short. I loved it, and it was so sweet.
Then I read the backstory behind it...
that made me cry. Knowing the story behind it made the animation so much better.
So watching through the short again, with that in mind, made me cry.
That's exactly what I did. I didn't understand it at first but then I read the description. Now I'm back here again, and with that in mind I watched it again... and once I figured out the memory he let go was about him, I cried
This made me feel more emotions than disney’s modern movies
Not only the animation is good but it also has a deep meaning to it, you have improved alot lately
How did something so simple make me cry, this was amazing
If you watch the animation over again you can notice thing you didnt before.
-the man that's in the hospital (the first aid kit)
-the grand daughter/son visiting
-the memories being lost
-the little gecko being forgotten
Disney : were the best
Scyrina : I exist you know
This really is heavy. I helped volunteer at a retirement home for about two years. I would keep the older folks happy, and help in the kitchen. I saw time and time again, good people just sitting in there beds not knowing anything about there lives because of Alzheimer’s disease. It really is heart breaking.
Anyways beautiful animation! Keep up the great work!
this animation... it's quality is beyond amazing
This short really hit close to home. My Grandpa who lived in another country had Alzheimer’s. I didn’t get to know him very well due to visits that might happen once per year or two years, and the fact that he spoke another language. I usually hanged out with my cousins and didn’t know about his condition. I only found out two years ago when we went to visit. I had to turn in a note to my teacher excusing my absence for the upcoming two weeks, and that when I found out. My dad (who never went on these trips) said that they wanted me to know him before he died. I visited and had lots of fun during the trip. I still remember him telling me that if I reach into a chip bag without looking a small snail would bite me. Sadly he died last October. We were going to visit my Grandparents house who lived in the state. I remember my mom crying in the front seat as she called work. The same day she booked a flight and speeded off to help my Grandmother. I still feel regret that I should have known him better, put more effort into learning his language. I am making more effort into learning it now, and I have a general idea of what he’s like. Jeez I wrote a lot.
Wow this animator is so talented the people who made this did a wonderful job it looks amazing sounds good and it makes the viewers feel things and it’s only 3:20 minutes long keep up the good work I can’t wait to see more :3❤️
Wow... I can't believe hkw far you have come!!! From simple 2d to realistic 3d!!! Amazing just amazing!!!!
This is like one of those dreams that seem so faded in blur, but you still seem to remember the plot and some of the diologe.
But serisouly, this is astonishingly amazing. I have only seen a few artists that can do something so amazing in detail and movement as much as you can. Please keep up the great work!
Your videos never dissopint! 😺
This is absolutely beautiful work! I wish you and your team the very best and I can't wait to see more amazing work to fall in love with. 💙💙💙
After watching the progress of this meaningful and gorgeous animation from my best friend who also worked on this animation I really have to say that it came out beautifully. The ambience and the sounds with it are stunning. Amazing job from all of you! ;w;
Once in every Blue Moon, magic happens.
Congrats Scyrina, you bring that magic.
how this lil 2-minute vid makes me feel, this is truly a piece of art. I can not believe this was not made in memory of a deceased grandfather. you made an Awsome Job!
Things rarely make me cry, but something about this made me tear. I guess...thinking about life, too.
I could even see the improvement from ‘Pawsey’s new home’ to this! Absolutely incredible, hope to see more 3D animation involved in this channel!
Oh my god, this is beautiful. The environment, the lighting, the textures, models, animation... everything.
this actually makes me cry omg what the heck the emotions the movemetn and the meaning ;uu;
Call some friends over, we got some memories to save.
This feel like a movie 😂
You better animate a movie or something or else imma be mad this talent isn’t more into the world.
Please make a movie I would watch it
I watched the video before I read the description, then I realized what it was about and started tearing up. I was reminded of my favorite author of all time, who succumbed to this and had all the precious memories dissolve. As he once said, a man is not dead until his name is spoken for the last time. Speak the names of those who have been lost, so that we will not forget them like they have forgotten us.
This story brings me back to my grandfather..I really love the animation style. Everything in here is perfect, the way the story is presented allows viewers of all ages to understand the plot. I really am in love with this short film. This is an absolute grace.
This is really cool! I appreciate you doing all the animation for all of us! You put hard work in all of your projects!
My grandmother was only diagnnosed with Alzheimers 4 weeks ago and she's already forgotten her family.
Really hits hard.
For real I would watch a whole movie of this. It's wonderful. I'm basically speechless and thinking about the whole story, it moved me to tears!! I can't even imagine how long this work must have taken, but I'm so excited to see more of you and your team!!
Oh my gosh this is the best thing ever. Everything from the atmosphere to the story to the animation to the design. Truly breathtaking.
This should've been sponsored by various Alzheimer's Disease organizations.
This!!! It’s so amazing, holyyyy.. the visuals are so pretty and I just love the animation and design of the gecko ;v;
The story kinda hits me hard having family members with Alzheimer’s, but the idea of this adorable gecko living in their minds is comforting :,]
Seriously amazing work!! Take care!
He looks so cute when he smiles I can't 💕💕💕😢
Thank you so much for making this!
My grandfather has Alzheimer’s and it makes me sad but some how happy to see this work of art. I love this so much.
this made me cry.. absolutely phenomenal
Scyrina-
I didn't expect you to actually make me cry.
This is literally the best video I've seen from you, and I am so proud of you
This is honestly heart breaking, my family has a really bad history with Alzheimer’s and I’m already rather poor with my memory. My gramma has already lost the majority of her memories much like my other grandparents before they passed but for her it’s so much harder being that she was so close to me more so than even my parents. Even still my father is showing early signs of it. One of the biggest fears in my life is just the slow decay of memory until you have nothing of who you were.. honestly brought some real emotion out of me with your beautiful work. Thank you.
Oh my gods, this is gorgeous! Not just the animation, but the story, the music, the everything! I love it so much!!
Everything about this is just so incredible. Congrats, you made me cry 🥺💗
THIS NEED MORE VIEWS??!! WTF THIS IS SO GOOD AND WELL MADE!! THE DETIAL ON EVERY LITTLE SCALE AND ROCK AND WATER DROP IS SO AMAZING LIKE HOW???
This made me cry
This hit me like a god dang asteroid hitting earth at 10,000 Miles Per Hour.. Cherish those who can't remember things..if need be relive those old memories..
This is actually so amazing ! I'm sobbing I haven't seen good 3D animation like this in a long time. Keep up the fantastic work!!
I just read the description right rn and this is even more saddd :'(
What a lovely piece! And that character is adorable!
That was amazingly powerful in such a short amount of time.

I particularly loved the sound design!

I'm not sure how to put this... Its just so breath taking and inspiring. I was moved to tears by the story too. Thank you so much for making this.
This is absolutely beautiful. The story and the graphics are amazing, and I love all the details you put into this animation

It amazes me so much what animators can do, and this is just amazing!
You maked better animation alone than a lot of people that work in group.
WOW! Now that is some really exquisite detail! That's a really awesome animation for you all to put together.
Your animations make me feel warm inside, they’re so cute and the art is great
You're artwork is amazing and the story really cute!

Ohh the animation is so pretty, the visual effects are amazing.
It looks magical 0w0

This is amazingly well made! Even without reading the description I knew immediately what this was trying to portray.
