- Charlotte vs. Clemson: The Tigers took care of business at home defeating Charlotte 52-10. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence only played three series for Clemson, completing seven of nine passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Travis Etienne ran for 61 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. The biggest play of the night was K'Von Wallace returning an interception 66 yards for a touchdown.

I was happy to see other players get into the game and it appears Trevor was just as excited about their plays as he has been with his own, running out on the field to greet them with that big grin on his face!
Cant blame Trevor for being excited, I'd hate to throw another INT. Dabo took me out early will be his excuse for Heisman.

Let's be honest, Charlotte was completely overmatched in every area of the game. At their best Charlotte might have given Clemson's 3rd string a game. Nothing short of divine intervention would have led to a Clemson loss here. That said, Charlotte made $1.3 million, got some exposure, and got to see what playing a major power was like. IMO Charlotte still has a good chance of finishing with 6-7 wins which would be a major improvement for the program.

Clemson's coach said the one thing he was not happy with was their run defense. If Lemay can keep doing what he's doing there will be some NFL teams taking a hard look at him. Maybe as a late round pick or UDFA.

there are four downs if a team gets ten yards that's a first down and the four downs restart. if the they fail to go four downs or throw to the other team the defense goes onto the field the defense goal is to stop the team to getting to the endzone(aka touchdown ) and or first downs if a team goes 100 yards that a touchdown who ever has the most touchdowns wins the game

I’m not saying he is bad but he is young and still needs work. He has high quality teammates and that is helping him because he doesn’t have to thread the needle half the game.

The only team they beat worth a mention is A&M, it wasn’t a beat down either. Lawrence is good but Hurts is better with less errors. So is Burrows. Don’t get me wrong, Clemson is real good but I don’t see a number 1 ranking. I guess time will tell. In my opinion LSU is better and Auburn beat better teams. I’m a Texas Longhorn fan btw. So I’m trying to be objective.
