Starting the 2002 Honda CR250 Bike Build [Ep. 1]

- Follow along as I build this 2002 Honda CR250R dirtbike from start to finish!
In episode 1 I disassemble the bike and find some not so good news. Looks like a swingarm swap is needed, along with a little more love than I thought. This should turn into a great off road dirtbike build.

I have an 02 right now that I'm just flipping, gonna ride it on Wednesday before I sell it. Looking forward to it! Also for your shock spring, I have painted a lot of them and never had it chip.

I saw that CR, looks pretty clean.
I think I'm going to paint all of my other ones. Even just blacking it out makes it look 10x better.
I have a 1998 CR250 and had the exact same problem with the swing arm... Totally roached. I didn't feel like trying to have it fixed so I got a replacement swing arm on eBay for about $140. Definitely worth it in my opinion. I wouldn't trust JB weld on a part like that. It takes a lot of abuse. Cheers

Honestly this hurts my soul but you could jb weld over the swing arm hole and throw on a heavy duty chain slider over the top of it to cover it up.
Yeah, I couldn't do that as a permanent fix. It would probably work if you wanted to go the budget route though.
