AHHHH i love this thing! I only had an hour with it, didnt get to try the patternator gate to arp...thats so freaking cool. This thing, the matrixbrute, the pro 2, and the ø coast are my favorite synths of recent times...maybe of all time
It is a blast, isn't it? I'm not even a person who does a lot of this sort of thing, but now I want to. It is really versatile and fun while also sounding good.
being able to interact with it quickly and musically like that makes a huge difference. ive always loved programable arpeggiators but most of the time its something you have to plan out ahead of time. this give you such immediate results
0:40 256 possibilities. i think, it might be less, i need a better look at how it works... it might as well be infinite though, who has time to make a song with every pattern variation?
Is there a way to control the length of the generated gate sequence to be anything less than 8 steps long? It would allow more time signature / rhythmic options and could even allow phasing if the length of the CV sequence and the gate sequence were different (e.g. a gate sequence length of 7 and a CV pattern length of 4)
Thanks for the reply. It's too bad there isn't more control over the length of just the gate sequence - Even a third knob would do wonders if it let you move from 1 to 8 steps in length. But maybe I'm asking too much. I'm lucky I have a Squarp Pyramid to do fun sequencing stuff like that. The Patternator actually reminds me a lot of the Pyramid's Euclidian Rhythm functionality. Lots of variety with minimal controls.
What a good price for this beast!!!!! I’m a fan!
Love it! I'm experimenting. Presently got the patternator CV out controlling VCA decay time on my DFAM hi hat rhythm. :)

I feel your passion marc. Endless fun! I'm the same, getting lost in instant creativity.

If you want different time signature options, your main option is going to be employing "reset" in the CV section.
