I hope the damage was minimal and only cosmetic. I have had a few close calls with bare tree limbs and power lines when I was too focused on the subject but so far only a few prop tips have been damaged. I guess you can never be too cautious. I really enjoy the flight videos that you share 👍🏻😎
Thanks Ken, yeah, it's fine. I can't believe how many close calls I've had with cars, cables, wires, etc, but those tiny "invisible" branches have reached out and grabbed me several times. Haha, Mainly minor scratches and a few prop blade replacements. Good thing they are cheap.
Gary, you have a DJI Mavic 2 Mini, right? So why are you still filming in 1080p when you could be filming in 4K? I'm sure your videos look fine on a phone screen and perhaps even a tablet. But on a 27" computer screen or 65" TV screen, they look soft. I checked: the Mavic 2 Mini is 4K capable. You've got a gift for subject matter but you need to add in quality (Phantom Falls comes to mind). Yes, the controller can only record 1080p, but the drone can do 4K.
Thanks Lee, actually, I have a DJI Mini 4 Pro, and yes, I should have changed to 4K for my Phantom Falls Hike, but for most of my videos 4K uses up too much space on my drives. I just need to remember to set it for 4K for any cinematic videos.
Back in November I ordered a 16TB external drive for my Mac for only $308.69 including tax from B&H Foto & Electronics. The prices on external drives has come way down over the years.
Hahaha, no, but ever since someone stole my Toyota 4x4 out of my driveway, I started putting up cameras. Then, after seeing all the wildlife, deer, foxes, bobcats, bears, skunks, raccoons, mountain lions, opossums, etc, that come around at night, I've been adding more critter cams & trail cams. I love watching the wildlife, and the wife feels more secure. I even caught one of my neighbors getting hit by a truck while jogging at the top of my driveway. He got a nice settlement from his insurance company with that video. 👍

No, she actually straddled it. The drone was fine, just taking a nice video of the bottom of the car. lol

I myself have a mini 3 that can record in 4k but i use 1080 instead, first is about storage and the second one is i can easier play videos in my phone
