    I've been waiting for a review on these. I heard them at CanJam London. I really enjoyed them but only spent 30m with them.....❤

    I've had these for a month after being a big FH9 fan. I was able to do some comparisons and I did have to conclude that they do produce a better reproduction than the FH9's. In particular around vocals and bass. I used the black balanced nozzle and a KA5 DAC set to Filter 2 with UAPP (Hi-Res driver/bit perfect mode, local lossless files and TIDAL lossless) on an ASUS ROG Phone 8 as the playback source.
    My only issue is that I am still getting used to them in terms of the way the bass feels. It's much more punchier than the FH9's. They make the FH9's seem "gentle" in comparison. I'm trying to work out if this is how the bass should be or not. I have some concern about impact to my ears over the long term. If I can get over this distraction then perhaps I will begin to feel the same way about them as I do the FH9's.
    I do find it difficult to take everything in at the same time. When I focus on the bass, I momentarily think the mids are recessed but when I shift focus to the mids, they are perfectly fine. It does remind me of planar magnetics in that sense. The resolution is all there when you're listening to a lossless source. I guess it just means you need to listen to your music many times to pick up on everything that's there. It may also mean that poor quality sources will be revealed by these. I tried capturing some vinyl tracks recently and they sound fine on speakers but not so good on the FH19's. So, I suggest you only feed these the finest audio you can.

    I am not sure that I have gotten right the comparison with fh9 . Are the fh19 brighter sounding?

      Hello, no, if you already have FH9 and like thier signature, you can stay with them, they are still really good :)

    How is it compared to IE900? I have a budget for any of them but if it’s unnecessary then no need to pay 400€ more

      Do the Sennheisers fit your ears? Their nozzles are too short for mine.

      Just go for FH19, you won’t disappoint.
      IE900 it’s build for instruments , not fit in pop music etc ,anything includes vocal just not quite well, so if you not a always “classic” person, you should go for FH19, it’s wayyyyy better than IE900 for listening any type of music.

      I hadn't got the ie900 but have the ie600 and love them. I use Spinfit tips and they fit perfectly well (I use L ear tips and no problem). Definitely recommend Spinfit tips.
      My other IEMs include Dunu DaVinci, Elysian Pilgrim, Simgot ea500lm, kiwi melody. IE600 are my favourite across all genres.
      Pilgrims have detail but are uninspiring. DaVinci are nice but not so much detail. Simgot ea500lm I love (brass nozzle, Spinfit tips).
      I thought the ie600 were okay first but not stand out. However, I used chord mojo 2 DAC and Onyx Alpha dongle DAC and the ie600 really jumped ahead (Pilgrims and DaVinci didn't give as much with dac).
      In particular, I love the ie600 with classical, vocals and any complex tracks- it keeps depth, detail and position.

    Hi can you compare with Fiio fh5s pro. Fh19 is a big step forward.

    • @PortaFi
      @PortaFi  3 месяца назад

      By memory, it's not a big step, but FH19 offers tighter lows, with better contol and slightly more polite treble

    Please if you can answer. I'm just buying the two expensive pairs soon and hope he doesn't make a mistake. Deciding between FA19 OR FH19
    The question is where there is more bass punch strong fast more detailed
    The second question is where there is more of a stage and a wider scene

      What I understand is that the FH19 has the strongest bass. FA19 is more refined in the mids and highs. But looking at the graph, the FA19 has more bass than the FH19. So it's difficult to know which bass is stronger.
      In two weeks my FA19 will arrive. I like warm/basshead sound. I'll tell you later if the bass is strong or not.

      @@gabrielroque9905I have FA19 MORE TECHNICAL, fast control bass and sub bass. Detail texture mid, airy high. Sparkling. Given eartip give different sound signature.
      Both have good soundstage, FA19 have good detail instruments placement, FH19 semi open back play a part, could sound further away.
      FH19 MORE FUN, more mid bass and is Big Mid Bass impact, softer edge bass. Male vocal slight thickness, upper mid smooth, high not offensive less airy and little sparkling.

      @@HeyHey-qp9eh well... looks like I bought wrong. I like more bass =/
      I should got the FH19.
      I bought the FA19 because the graph looks like the graph of the Dunu SA6 MK2 and looking at the graph, FA19 has more mid bass than the SA6. I love mid bass. I love the SA6 MK2, so I thinked that maybe FA19 is a upgrade.
      Another thing. I have the FH9. The bass is good, but for me. SA6 MK2 has a more better bass, more strong and impactful.
      Thank you very much for sharing your impressions about the FA and FH.

      FH19 has more bass punch, while FA19 has bigger stage and more focus on microcontrast

    This or FX15?

    • @HeyHey-qp9eh

      FX 15 sound V signature. Mid backward. FH19 FA19 more balance

    • @PortaFi
      @PortaFi  3 месяца назад

      they are pretty different in signature with FH19 being more focused on tighter bass and softer treble, while FX15 is focused on detalisation and energy in mids and treble.
      so it's totally a matter of preferences

    • @PortaFi
      @PortaFi  3 месяца назад

      FX15 is a good example that FR graph isn't enough to evaluate the sound. Despite the graph, mids on FX15 doesn't sound recessed due to detalisation and focus on micro-contrast
