*AstraTrustHQ* I wished I could shake your hand. I'm a 61 year old disabled woman. A few months before the pandemic I was stalked and harassed on the phone by an Indian scammer. Sad thing is he wouldn't have gotten a red cent from me. I live from check to check. I thank you for what you are doing especially for the elderly and the vulnerable that can't stand up for themselves. My stalker finally gave up after I told him I'd love to hold him down and wash out his filthy mouth with lye soap until he cried for his momma.

It is a sad thing. Our society has become one where we barely have enough time for ourselves much less extended family and by the time we're retired or even before, it is too easy to be isolated and lonely, vulnerable to someone who suddenly finds us 'interesting' and 'attractive'.

OMG..the exact thing happened to me.i feel sick...and this girl is a victim of the scammer too..i feel so bad for both of us..i lost almost $1000 and she (he) kept trying to get my personal and financial information as well..I believed it was who it was in the picture., even though everyone i talked to about her said it was a scam..i didnt believe them but i had this gut feeling all along and i ignored it...I feel so stupid! I wish i would have seen this video first but now i am aware and i learned and this will never happen to me again!

I was taken for 40,000.00 by an online romance scammer many years ago, I regret it, much of what I see here sounds so familiar, my advice the second they ask for money, drop them, they're scum!!!

As another person commenting here pointed out , the man in the photo/video may not even prefer ladies. He may well prefer men.

Absolutely true story my brother was catfished badly 63 thousand doloars in less then two yrs . I have five brothers and my brother who was scammed him and his twin had a foodtruck and my brother was funneling money from there business. This has torn our family apart. Nick and jason were the epitome of twins so close and they haven't spoke in 3 yrs .its hurt our parents so much they were on there way to success. They come at separate times to visit our parents. Were almost certain nick has turned to pills . We had no clue very sad my brother is a very very good looking 28 yr old who was achieving his dreams It goes to prove it can happen to anyone!

If a new Facebook friend asks you to switch over to Google Chat or WhatsApp, DON'T DO IT! He will then block his Facebook account from you and ask you for money. Then you can't report his Facebook account. I didn't lose any money but I couldn't report the scammer's Facebook account because it was blocked.

One time in college on my way home to visit i lost like 20 bucks with some guy doing a three card monte type thing outside the bus station, and im smart but these cons have nothing to do with smarts, its like me with the 3 card monte , they work on all the other stuff like your own confidence in your intelligence and your emotions , comparing it to my 3 card monte situation is the only way i can understand it because otherwise its senilty and mental illness and delusional thinking because its still hard to understand when a US general for example has an "italian/french" clearly african accent, at that point i start to think its more psychological and their mind is trying to protect them from reality and actually turning off parts of their brains like it can happen when people s brains actually start creating delusions to help people cope with shame and trauma. They gotta stop thinking its about smarts cause this is all psychological, it could happen to a genius in the right emotional state

It’s better not to get involved in the first place. My cousin accepted a guy from Facebook and that was it, life savings was gone, she was lucky for the agency that restored her assets.
