I was 9 years old, on board the "Fairstar" P& O liner bound for the UK, and we kids watched this movie in the cinema almost every day. Aah!.....the memories come flooding back. That's right. This one and "City Beneath the Sea".
andy williams was great. I just got the news today that he passed away RIP Andy. both he and your husband have inspired me to be true to the vocals of a song. Great teachers. thank you for sharing... it was very nice to see this. :)
What a GREAT movie..... I have bad DVD of this movie but watch it anyway....wonderful cast, and cute story line...A must see for any Sandra Dee fans.....sad they are all gone now 😪😢😥😓
Thank you Vera, I enjoyed this very much! Tomorrow, 2/2/15 I'm performing my "Andy Williams Sings The Movie Hits" in Williamsburg, VA. I also perform as "Robert Goulet" in a similar show. It's my hope to bring them "together in tribute" in both Las Vegas and Palm Springs - La Quinta areas this year...This movie is a real jewel, a wonderful romantic comedy!
I've often wondered about how close Bob and Andy were through the years. I know he appeared on Andy's show several times, and they sounded so great together. My favorite tenor and my favorite baritone are both gone now, but their music lives in all our memories and our hearts. I belong to a online karaoke site called Singsnap and they have some of Andy's songs, but only one of Bob's. The one from Toy Story. I hope they are able to add more of your husband's great recordings in the future.
Such a fun silly movie! Made in 1964. I love it. It's difficult to find, but luckily, Ms.RainyDay135 has uploaded segments to RUclips: Yaaayyy! A favourite movie moment: Andy Williams raging on the lawn, "I-AM-WAR-REN-PALLL-MER!"
