Since immigration law is federal law the states really have no legal standing. The DOJ should have warned all states that any modification of immigration law will be dealt with harshly. If they don't comply send in the US Marshals to arrest and jail the governors and mayors of the states and cities. They are committing felonies by harboring illegal aliens. We have people who are dying to get into our country. People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. We would see even more bare shelves because some of these companies can't get entitled Americans (especially lefties) to do the work. They have to hire illegals or go out of business. I hate to say it, but the illegals help our infrastructure. Maybe work visa reform? Then they could come here the correct way. I don't mind immigrants that actually want to be Americans.
