Aww this is so sweet. I did 23 and me too. I did it in February of 2020. I've always known I was adopted as a baby. I found my biological mother and older sister (I knew all about her) back in 2014. When I got my 23 and me results, not only did I find out that I'm from just about everywhere on the planet (my largest percentage is 15%) plus I have about 5% unassigned, but I also found 2 younger half sisters and 2 younger half brothers. 23 and me is awesome. Oh and to answer your question of where they get there statistics from. They ask all of their participants questions (like are you afraid of heights or do you have a gap in your teeth) and then compare the DNA of those who answered yes to try and pin point a genetic component that might house that result.
This video made me cry so much. Leo was like, " I didn't know. I just didn't know," and I have never related to a statement so much as that. I love you Thomas, thank you for letting us into these magical moments.
