Fantastic video. I like how short and to the point you keep everything in your guides, you don't waste our time like some other youtubers, and I am extremely appreciative of that.
i may ask is recomendable exchanging the original thermal past i have g9 plus that have 3 different screen and i dont know if the thermal past is in good state, what do you think worth the change?
I bought this phone and i love the fact it is so easy to take it apart. But now i know why my nokia 6.1 was so expansive, the nokia was built like a damn tank compared to this.
Both are good phones but the fusion plus is a bit better on the specs side, nothing dramatic but you have the option of 4 or 6 gigs of ram on the fusion plus compared to only 4 on the g9 plus. As well as other minor things like a 5mp macro cam on fusion plus compared to a 2 mp macro cam on the g9 plus. However G9 plus has a slightly larger screen.
Hi and thanks! The internal memory is soldered onto the motherboard and is not removable, but it should be one of the larger square chips which is covered by the shields on the motherboard.
@@PBKreviews nowadays, brands make phones bigger and bigger because of the components they carry inside. For example, the G8 Power is a more compact phone than the G9 Plus despite having 5000 mAh of battery, so I asked you if the G9 Plus has other different components and that take up more space to justify its dimensions.
Ya you have to take everything apart so you can have access to disconnecting the screen cable from the board, and removing the battery so you can run the screen cable through the slit in the mid frame and get your new screen cable and re-run it through the mid frame and re-assemble the phone.
So, I have trouble prying it open, I've tried all kinds of thin plastic (and metal) things but the bronze and black parts are stuck together really well. Any tips? (I got something stuck in the sim card port, that's why I want to disassemble the phone)
Hi, it shouldn't be too difficult. You can try to get the tool first in from where the sim slot area is, since the bronze housing portion is a thin strip there, it would lift up easier to get the tool in between the housing and frame of the screen.
@@PBKreviews Yes, eventually I also found that the sim slot area was the weakest link! Thank you for replying. Disassembling and assembling the phone was a lot of fun. (though in the end it was not necessary, thin tweezers got the stuck item out hahaha oh well). I was relieved that everything still worked. Anyways, have a nice day!
I cracked my G9+ screen while I was waiting for my case I ordered to arrive after having it about a week😬, so now I am trying to decide if I should pay $150 for a repair shop to fix it, or should I buy one and replace it myself? Anyone have any advice? How hard is it to do myself? Thanks
Its not too difficult but if its your first time doing it and you have no clue, it might not be as easy as it looks. Screen will probably run you like $50, plus adhesive another $5 or so. So it depends if you want to pay the extra amount for a repair shop to do it for you.
yes you can use 99% isopropyl alcohol. You squeeze a few drops around the corners or sides of the battery and let it sit for a minutes and then use a pry tool to gently pry the battery off. You can purchase the isoproypl alcohol here: www.ifixit.com/Store/Tools/iFixit-Adhesive-Remover/IF145-400?o=4

Not sure, it can be faulty screens, bad board or display chip on board, water damage, etc. You can also try updating the software on the phone to rule out any bugs.
Hi Guys, During replacement LCD I distroyed flex resposible for Google Assistant (left side button) , someone is able provide me a serial number or where can I buy it? Or correct name of this part? Thanks
Yes, as the previous comment mentions, or you can check on ebay or amazon for moto g9 plus LCD or by model number XT2087 but make sure its for the plus version :)
Hi, the camera glass cover on the back plate is held on with adhesive tape, you would need to heat it up with a hair dryer or heat gun and then pry it off.
@@PBKreviews well i found the only motorola repair company doesnt repair it yet. I also found an LCD for like 50 Moneys on alibaba - is that a common price for LCDs for Motorolas?
I don't know too much about flashing, having done that in years. Best bet would be to google for the firmware and RSDlite version that you would need to reflash the firmware.

Hi PBKreviews! This video is great, thanks a lot! I'm trying to locate the internal memory, do you have an idea where it is?
Hi and thanks! The internal memory is soldered onto the motherboard and is not removable, but it should be one of the larger square chips which is covered by the shields on the motherboard.
Do you have any extra components compared to the G8 Power for example? Is the excessive size of the phone justified?
Not sure what you mean by the first question but the size is probably due to the size of the screen. Larger screen = larger body.
