Assalamualaikum alaikummusallam brother, I may not totally agree with the way he explained it, but the most dominant view of the scholars is that it is makrooh, just as in the hadeeth of the prophet (saw); “I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones, and not to roll or tuck up my garment or hair.” although it's not considered makrooh in malikis madhhab if it's not rolled up for the purpose of salah but other personal needs, However the idea behind it is that it does not support full focus khushu during salat, some view it that when we prostrate all that wears should rest loosely with us as a form Respect to the Lord we are prostrating to, however these are just views of scholars. I beg to differ. All was right at that point in time when islam was established. Regarding prayer, it was also being preacribed of the procedures by PBUH and in this situation the prophet PBUH jad set the guideline that the 3rd person once joined were to stand behind him hence he moved them back as a guidance. So at that point that was established. So we 3rd person does not had to come after that and stand on the left of the imam as we know now that the 1st person does not have to come to left first so the imam can move him to the left. Hope that is clear. If that was the case, it would have been made compuleary for 2nd one to 1st come to the left waiting foe imam to move him to the right and 3rd one to come on the left waiting for the imam to move both to the back. Right way was established. 2nd person who comes, shall stand to the right. Third person to come shall wait till both imam and 2nd person are up from sajoodh, then he shall tap the 2nd person on the shoulder, indicating now they 3 to the prayer, so the 2nd person is to step back and proceed from the prayer. 3rd person who joined late, shall follow the current running prayer and will complete his raka.
I tapped a person stood with him. He got annoyed, he wasn't minding me he just kept on silently doing his own prayer. Do I have to continue with him or step away?
@@AR-15-685 It was narrated that Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Mu‘aadh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) used to pray with the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), then he would go to his people and lead them in prayer. And he would recite al-Baqarah. … The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Recite ‘By the sun and its brightness’ [al-Shams 91:1], and ‘Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High’ [al-A’la 87:1] and the like.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5755) and Muslim (465). Al-Nawawi said: In this hadeeth we see that it is permissible for one who is offering an obligatory prayer to pray behind one who is offering a naafil prayer, because Mu‘aadh used to offer the obligatory prayer with the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), so he discharged his duty, then he would pray the second time with his people, so it was voluntary for him and obligatory for them. This is stated clearly elsewhere than in Muslim. I was just concerned of the state when the person is ignorant and he deliberately ignores.

Maybe he's praying sunnah prayer.
