I'm 62 years old. I have seen and experienced a lot of changes in this country (as many people my age and older have experienced over the last 6 decades), and it is my personal opinion that we have moved so far into crazy nonsense and insanity in this nation that it seems impossible to come back from. No country is perfect, but I remember when the majority of people in this nation were proud to be an American and were absolutely against the behaviors that we see today. Saying Merry Christmas was not something to be ashamed of, no satanic altars were displayed in any public areas, and Nativity scenes were honored and encouraged. The vast majority of people felt safe and behaved in a moral, decent way. Read John 3:16 and John 14:6. Repent and turn to Jesus for salvation.

All caps does not make what you are saying more true. Christmas, although not called that, was around thousands of years before the christian god appeared. Christians stole the holiday to convert pagans. They did the same with easter. They chose existing holidays like December 25, and springtime to force Christianity onto the pagans. The Roman government did this to unify all religions into one that was state approved and backed the Roman government.
The solstice season has celebrations and observances from everywhere, and every religion. I am for all of them.

Our household loves watching the old Waltons reruns on the Hallmark Channel. Beginning in October they start their Christmas movie glut of secular, romance movies that you couldn't pay me to watch. It pains me that Hallmark's "Dayspring" line can only muster a single movie each holiday with a Christian theme around the birth of Jesus. Haven't seen one of these films yet but I'm curious to see if this year's movie will actually hit the mark. Until then, i wished they stop this horrible drivel that seems to have no end.

My wife and I worked in the largest hospital in Hawaii for 24 years before retiring to Ohio. We had every religion on Earth represented on my psych unit and included a huge Christmas display. Our hospital had an enormous hospital ministry department that included Hawaiian ministries. The Hawaiian priests had a service at least 2 x per year on every unit just to cleanse the units of ghosts. We even had a ceremony for opening up a unit or deconstruction of a unit before renovations. We didn’t think anything of it. All this was part of our culture. The mainland is very strange now. I feel as though I am some how creating a public display against authority by saying “Merry Christmas” or “Happy Hanukkah” instead of “Happy Holidays”.
