- Not the best quality clip but still great to see this rare footage of Bryan Ferry singing the great single from the 'Flesh & Blood' album live in concert from over 30 years ago.
Don’t understand why Roxy did not play this live more often. Fabulous, fun and beautiful song and enjoy that they rocked it out live.
Roxy Music's Gr8est Song and wot a Gr8 Live Performance....Very Special....
flesh and blood..one of my fav alltime albums...ever
Have loved this since it came out and here I am in 2020 watching this . tnt4-ever
Ferry smoking a tab between verses then turning his back on the crowd to have a sly slash over the drum kit! CLASS!
❤Roxy Music, Flesh & Blood is another favorite album. 'Oh Yeah' ❤❤❤ Cool
Ridiculously good...!
Thanks for sharing
It's so much faster than the recorded version...
Dudes ...I don't smoke. But ..remember! ...this was 1980 .Smoking was a lot more accepted at that time.
Ferry can do whatever he wants...with his health or life.
WOW, Stop Making Sense was ripped off of this! Write a check David Byrne!
@kanecaptain In one of his interviews that I recently viewed, Bryan kept saying that it was only once when he tried to restart - after his divorce ("after 20 years of marriage - that's what was really very dramatic"). He smoked about half a cigarette and never tried again... So keep it up Paul and never ever restart however cool it may be and tasty or relaxing. Ok?)
Thanks for always uploading Roxy videos!!
This tour was the first time I saw them live, and wasn't sure what to expect after the softness of the F&B album, but was thrilled when they rocked it!
Thanks for the post! They all look so cool and great sound!
@hpeter59 - my pleasure - it's a great clip and full of life.
Great to see this clip. Apart from Ferry, Manzanera and Mackay, the only musician I can pick out clearly is Gary Tibbs. I think it's Paul Carrack on keyboards but would love to know whether Paul Thompson is in it. He didn't play on the Flesh + Blood album but did play on some 1980 live dates.
AWESOME !!! I saw the FLESH & BLOOD Concert in Kiel/Germany
and it was fantastic - 32 years ago...........
what a tune.
canzone fantastica e Bryan Ferry un gran figo
@natateaful - as Chandler once said in an episode of 'Friends', 'Smoking's cool and everyone knows it' so it was obvoius that Rock's coolest would also be a smoker (or used to be). Nasty habit though which I kicked and then restarted, then kicked again..............Paul
Please put more Roxy live from that era in. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Same old scene
Oh yeah
In the midnight hour
Avalon
More than this
Take a chance with me
The main thing
Would be awesome!!!✊🏻✌🏻🤙🏻
He smoked in a lot of performances. Smoking's cool I don't care what anyone says ha ha! And I'm a reformed smoker! 🚭
Flesh&Blood .... and then AVALON !
Roxy Music at their absolutely height!
🫡✌🏻🤙🏻
& dreaming of you..became the most beautiful atribute of epitaph of noone 's dreaming about me..and the mirror showed me just traces of sharp winter's echoes instead night whisper of the breeze down my cheeks, like your breathing..and your lios I know I would never meet 'till I die but
Way too fast. Kills the mood of the original. Great song not done that well. Bryan smoking onstage costs a few more points as well.
loved this tune...from 1980
The best song of this band
I think the great Gary Tibb is on the bass.
It is Gary Tibbs. His playing is best heard on "Manchester Manifesto" aka "On the Road" from 1979. Great recording quality on this and furious bass performance from Gary Tibbs, who switches with ease from fingers to pick on different songs as well as doing capable backing vocals, all at the age of 21!
At the one minute mark some idiot threw something and it hits Ferry in the hand, looks like it might just be a bunch of grapes thankfully...............
Lansing Michigan Possibly a pair of lady's intimate apparel. :)
Any guitar people out there know the chords to this??
|D-2-3-4|G2A4| most of the way through and D & G at the end
It's D-G-A almost the whole song. Except fot the solo wich is A. The riff that goes all over the song it's
