Who would have thought not long ago that Code Black, an almost forgotten producer, probably unknown by younger hardstyle listeners would return in such style. We may hear a bit of the style of producers like Aversion or Adjuzt, but nothing wrong with that. What's noteworthy is that finally someone is making normal drops with melody. His melodies are wonderful. Anti-climaxes by other DJs with pvc kicks and zaag kicks are getting boring.
A very long time ago when Xtra raw wasn't even invented yet Code Black was already making kind of harder euphoric yet not raw music, with hard trance like melodies, this was actually how hardstyle was defined on creation. Interesting to see him go over the barrier

You may like the Anderex tracks better, or probably its just cool to bash on Code Black like all the sheeps after Gearbox boss started that nonsense to get some more name to Anderex. But production wise Anderex would be more from Wish compared to Code Black. These productions from Code Black are top notch, although I don't like this style at all unfortunately
I understand code black surely took inspiration from few "modern style" artists but it has always been this way, back in the day everybody were trying to get the sounds of donkey rollers, then headhunterz , noisecontrollers...etc. Even the early code black kicks, some artists were trying to make kicks like those, for example in a lot of brennan tracks

to be fair, I've loved Code Black since the early years with Red Planet & Pandora. One of my absolute favorite songs back then was the Defqon Australia Anthem by him. An absolute legend no question. But I find it a bit sad and boring that every DJ, even many euphoric DJs now trying to take this raw-style hype. If you say for yourself okay I want to go in a new direction because I want to ... but it sounds somehow forced
