Wood gas stoves are brilliant, use mine a lot. Interesting to see how you keep it burning at tick over by stifling the air. Have seen people make up a ring with holes that match the bottom outer inlet, then turn to adjust the airflow. Might work for you.

i like the idea of the intake adjuster just have to find something that could make it work, i used my zebra pot lid to stiffel the outtake which also worked but its now covered in soot and not shiny so not a great success there lol 😁👍

also got blowback burps of fire so intake is the way to go

Not a bad little stove. I coppied your idea last year with the square folding stove with a makeshift top and cans for a chimney. Im hoping i can grab a proper stove off temu on the cheap. £70 is lowest so far but cant justify the cost just yet. Finally getting out to my new location tomorrow cant wait. All the best

That square Woodburner is still my most rated and I have still got it, tbh I don’t know why I bought these new ones because the square one I don’t think can beat. thanks for commenting. Take care my friend.👍👍

I also have to agree I can’t justify £70 also size can be an issue will you be showing your new destination?

I have the Ohuhu branded version of that stove and have had decent luck with it. Looks like yours is working great man.

I have one of these. which I got 10 years ago. It works fine and is very compact but biggest issue is trying to assemble the thing or pack it up again.

yes i get that with assembly, its not the best for stopping on a hike for a quick cuppa. i just love the efficiency of the wood burn, it wastes hardly any heat and all that's left is a very fine powdered ash, also one of my fastest for a boil time, thanks for commenting!... BatW
