Here are a few famous singers who smoke or recently quit: Cher, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Adele (yeah she has given up now but she has said she used to smoke a pack a day), Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, Lana Del Rey, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Harry Styles, Alex Turner, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse, Nina Simone, Etta James, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, Debbie Harry, Dionne Warwick, Whitney Houston, to name just a few....Strange that you don't know this....

You can tell she's a real smoker in the rose. She smokes like a real smoker and not an actor who's just doing it for a picture. She takes big deep hits and can handle blowing it out her nose without it burning. It takes a while for people to be able to handle smoking the way she does in that movie. And that was Bettes first movie when she was really young. I'm a lifelong smoker and I can always tell when an actor is a smoker or not in real life based on how they smoke in movies. I always wondered about Bette. She smokes like a real pro in that movie. Far to well to not have had years of experience doing it in real life. Yet she's also a fairly disciplined person in real life and also a great singer who managed to retain her voice despite having a big one. people with big voices often lose their luster after years of performance. Plenty of non smokers lose their operatic effects after a certain point so for a smoker to retain hers is very rare. I would imagine Bette probably quit smoking early in her life and only enjoys one on social occasions. That would make more sense than her being a lifelong heavy smoker.
