Wow jeez what an insanely satisfying rigged run as Tainted Isaac, Polyphemus, Brimstone, Cricket's Head, Ipecac, Infestation 2, Magic Mushroom, Cricket's Body, Almond Milk, Glitched Crown, Inner Eye, Host Hat, Parasite. Binding of Isaac: Rebirth was great, Afterbirth was cool Afterbirth+ was like, eh, it's okay, and then Repentance came and was like BAM this is the best DLC EVER. The best mods like Q4 Isaac dance and banger songs like Innocence Glitched and Machine in the walls (my personal favorite) BIG C Section Brimstone Tech X fetuses' with ghost pepper synergies have so much potential. Add Soy Milk and Rock Bottom for a free win. Those items would be so OP together. The greatest synergy of all time. First floor is Ultra Hard, boss rush can be hard to get to. Good thing mom's knife didn't show up because that wouldn't have been fun. Even though I would of liked that item. I also like, Death Certificate, Damocles, Crickets Head, Rock bottom, Magic Mushroom and Godhead. Psy Fly, Revelation, Twisted Pair, D6 or Spindown Dice would be a cool synergy to have. Edmund Mcmillen created Super Meat Boy and I think he is a angel room enjoyer. Though Devil rooms can be Isaac Pog too, sometimes its a missed rare opportunity 0.1%. Sometimes when I get C section or Glitched Crown I laugh at my free win. Polyphemus Crickets Body Proptosis soy milk Sacred Heart + Holy Light and +10 Luck from perfection is my favorite combo. When I get dead eye incubus R key Red key mega mush spirit sword and brimstone with ipecac it feels like a won run especially with monstros lung and tech X. I love playing the lost and tainted lost, and rerolling is always fun. I also love planetarium items. The Binding of Isaac Repentance is a pretty hard game but I enjoy it, I remember How to unlock the Lost, and it sucks because its RNG. Fighting Hush Delirium Mega Satan The Beast and Mother are all fun. I love synergies and bad items. This is 1,000,000% swear on dead gods name that this description isn't only for keywords. I think the reason you hold the item above your head for so long is to prevent griefing. Mostly in the boss, with the double item, it ensures that the other player has a chance to grab the second item

I think they should make another fix for that, because longer holding delay is too annoying. In fact, it is just about using this effect of blocking item pickup alone

I hope they add some form of communication with the other players. Not having it makes it too confusing, especially when you have 4 players all wanting to do diferente things. I today got like 3 runs where one tried going mother, another the beast, and another delirium(I wanted to just go to the lamb)
make it like bloons chat where you can speak in little speech bubble animations
They should add like a… vote for alternate floors
The few runs I played nobody was really pushy but more inquisitive like where does everyone want to go and interested in balancing out the run like anybody flying could get into the curse room for free and the person with the most health generally got us out. giving a good synergy to someone that already has that build going for them and health to someone that needs it. Might be more about taking initiative. I've only ever played Isaac by myself so I have a tendency to just go or act based on what I feel. If I feel pushback I'll take a backseat until other people start pushing a choice. I think the nonverbal communication is great. They might be with you or against you. If it had too much communication then you could plan everything out.
I had mercurius and another player had blank card so I was thinking run through the rooms to map out the level and go back to maximize charges for a good card or something but I got pushback immediately and I had no real way of communicating my intention and I liked the limitation.
Similarly I ran into a blind double angel deal and one of the other players ran to the far item and started running to the south wall and I knew exactly what they were going for so I ran to the nearest item and to the wall and then we just went for the items right after we hit the wall and both got an item. Completely interpreted from the actions of another player and thats awesome

My theory/headcannon is that Online mode is basically Isaac ending up in an orphanage after his parents got divorced. There he met kids (other players) who were just as traumatized by their childhood as him, kids that he can relate to, and invited them into his "game", his world of macabre fantasy.
This makes sense but sadly probably wont have any lore

Lets give 'em time to make online work properly first! But that would be awesome! Albeit slightly problematic when having to check whatever mods youll need n all that (and not get into a room with someone OVERLOADED in mods... 😵💫
@@elioalbertopereyra4702 I guess you should be able to check what mods the other person have and agree or not agree to play with them. This and maybe separating client mods from server mods, like External Descriptions shouldn't be obligated on both games but Runs Go Past Mother should

As an experienced couch co-op multiplayer player I know the blanket was a bug and have already learned most basic multiplayer synergies as well as character synergies

11:13 I think Matt didn’t notice, but the trapdoor actually stayed shut when a deal spawned so an overzealous player can’t leave the floor instantly.

I think 17:00 was due to a system where exits are delayed to prevent griefing? Just like how item pickups take a while to prevent item stealing. If you look at the other boss kills, the trapdoor is shut for a bit before it opens. To prevent people from immediately leaving and, say, revoking your boss item or whatever you wanted to do on the floor before leaving.

Online is great but they gotta find an item dispersement system cause so many times people will just take items or for devil deals a single lost will take one and make them all disappear hopefully they’ll fix little stuff like that in the future
I think that's the reason why they made so that you hold the items in your head longer, so a troll won't be able to just take them all withaut giving the others a chance.
@@masterblaster38 that doesn't solve the Lost issue though. I feel like the best way would be to make the items that are left uninteractable for the Lost that took the first item, so that other characters can still take or reroll them. You could also just make it so the first character just can't take it (with the rest of interactability intact) but that enables Coupon and Mr. Me shenanigans and I don't know whether the devs want those to be possible.
@@sallomon2357 Yeah for the Lost items I had a very similar idea, just make the Lost himself not be able to pick more than 1 but make the rest of the people able to pick the others if they want to.
However there are times where It is good that the same person can pick an item twice. (Mainly for example if there is a person playing Keeper or Lost, if they didn't take the first Boss items and the last one for them was an HP Up, It would be useless for them) So it makes sense they made so that you are still able to pick the items, just made so you hold the item longer so that you can't pick them all. The only remaining issue in my opinion is the Lost + devil items issue, but that's all.
Hey matt, I looked into the Isaac files for a bit, and saw that theres an option in the options file (I know, its crazy)
But theres an option called enablemods, and if u change the value from 1 to 0 u dont have to uninstall or unsubscribe from any of ur mods!

I just tried what u have said and it failed. Basically, when i join the game again, it resets the value to 1 and it doesn't let me turn the mods on. If i did something wrong pls tell me bc im interested in doing that.

@@luiseduardobastosTry disabling your mods one by one in isaac, not pressing disable mods. Then restart. This worked for me
@@luiseduardobastos Try making the file read-only after you've changed the value to 0.
I know that sometimes it can still change the values when starting the game when that is not applied.

Hello! I play co-op with my brother a lot, so I thought I'd bring some things up:
-Enemies that shoot tears usually just shoot the closest player.
-Enemies like doples and evil twins copy the movement of a random player and the tears of a (sometimes different, sometimes the same) player.
-Mother's Shadow follows whoever takes the knife piece (iirc, otherwise it just chooses a random player).
-Mom's hands choose a random player to grab (though they USUALLY go for the same player in a room).
-Stomps (Mom's and Satan's) go after a random person initially, then they go after whoever is closest to the previous stomp.
Also, any characters that improve a run stack insanely well with others (T. Lost, T. Keeper, T. Isaac, T. Lazarus and Isaac mainly). T. Maggie and T. Eve are fun together. And some dead co-op players are better than others (There was this one run on the Dark Room where I had like 2 damage up and 3 tears ups, and the dead T. Azazel dealt more damage sneezing people into walls than I dealt lmao).
This is going to cause so much chaos I love it
I’ve actually played local Co-Op quite a bit on TBOI Repentance (Which works with mods) which is strikingly similar to the online version, except you need an extra controller to play and no internet.
So far it’s actually a great alternative to online play if you have a sibling, friend, or relative

got my entire progress to dead god wiped testing this beta, but my first online match as tainted isaac i paid out a blood bank in a secret room and it rerolled automatically into R key and mattman screamed so it was worth it (i'm coping)
so today we learned to make backups

ayy, this is some knowledge coming from remote play, the dopple can choose one player or the other. my best guess is that it aims for the person who walked through the door, but I've never paid enough attention to it. whenever it showed up we just had the person who wasn't copied shoot it. and if the ghosts remain in online co op after a death, gnawed leaf allows for a win in any fight if you have enough patience to let your dead team mate kill mega satan with like 0.5 damage per shot

I played hundreds of hours of actual next to each other coop with a mate of mine that moved away. will be very nice to get that back again without steams "help". the fact that everyone gets his own camera for themselves is huge

actually that online multiplayer was an official thing in a game for like a year already, but you could have only played with your friend in Steam and only by entering the dev mode and using console commands

I was so excited for this, I was going to play with a friend and now I've lost my whole save file and the backups didn't work...
same here, I was glad I had a backup first, but it also didn't work.

@@_.BlueCrow._ I couldn't find any other solutions other than to just spend a few days getting back your progress by using the console commands. If you decide to use the console, then it's best to use debug 10, 3, and 8, pick your active as dad's key or use mercurius to quickly pass through the necessary floors, and use "Libra" and a hundred of "The Halo" for max damage output since you will have to disable debug 10 for certain bosses since it'll just bug them out and not give you the boss completion. For getting every unlocked item back on the item stats list, you'll need "Deep pockets" "Pound of flesh" "Restock" "Chaos" and a shop, use the console to give you constant health ups so you can endlessly buy the items and get them back to the stats list. if your shop gets clogged with active item pedestals, give yourself the D6 and reroll every active item with debug 8
Do remember that you can get all listed items from the console so you don't have to do multiple runs just to get every specific item.

Protect your save files boys. There are comments in the steam blog post that tell you how to recover lost files even if you haven't backed them up. Even opening the game with the beta installed and watching the intro can wipe your saves.
