As with other training, crate training has to start early and gradually. Start by feeding in the crate. Some will like to nap there. (Larger breeds should be fed TWICE a day a measured amount.) The crate has feel like their own territory, their den. Never discipline them in the crate. Try gradually increasing enclosed crate time. Figure whether they can tolerate 1 minute or 1 hour and start there. Every day add a few minutes. If they’re good with that day’s test, treat & praise. Once a day only. If they’re unsuccessful, release them for play and shorten the next day’s time & go from there.

I wish we were like felix. Has he ever been crate trained? His is that people recommend us for when travelling but he goes crazy when lovked in a crate
