Them 7-8 attempts with the net on the first fish made me cringe. You never want to chase it with the net from behind. The attempt where you landed it is the way to go. You got unlucky with the second fish, happens. Cool video!
Thanks for watching Martin. Yes, it was rather difficult as there was a lot of drag when I had my net in the water. I think I may try cutting my motor off and pedaling when I’m ready to net the fish.
Man i felt your pain when you lost it. But its okay. 32'' on the kayak hell yeah !. Makes you want to come back already ! loving the video Jake. Please keep it coming sir ! See you out there
I feel ya man! maybe a little bit bigger net especially if you encounter those 30lbs+ out there but you still took one home. 😊👍👍👍. When did you go out?
ya I'll try Thursday since I like catching them in that area. last week I hook 3 but had to release 2 since they were silvers. 😭😭😭 but at least I got one keeper. 😏👍
At least you are hooking up and getting on some nice fatty salmon! Is it because your leader line is too long? I was watching your flasher at the eye of the rod and you still had extra line to a point that you are extending your net arm. I think if you shorten the leader just a tiny bit you would of gotten the salmon closer to the kayak for a better scoop. Awesome job on getting on some salmon and action!
Jake, that was exciting watching you netting the fish. Maybe next time when the fish ready to be net, kill the engine and use the mirage drive instead to control the kayak. But that is my 2 cents. Keep the video coming, see you OTW soon.
@@reelin_it_with_jake Nice to hear you caught that fish that day. We went out the same time that day, should have follow you. Lol I went straight out to the red can. Guess the fish God only smile at you. Congrats 👏
I gotta give all you yak guys props. It's hard to land these chromes on the boat with 2 people. You still did hella good Jake. Glad you guys found them in the shallows. 32" chrome for the day is better than most!
That was tough networking but feel good about catching one. What day was that ? I was out my first time Friday. Forget my battery for fishfinder and my Life jacket 😩 Only out 4hrs and got a little 🤢 Not a good day for me 👎 Out of 10-12 kayaks only heard a few🐟🐟caught
Happens to everyone. Happened to me at Cabo when I lost a 300+lb yellowfin that I had been fighting for over 2 hours right at the boat. But you still got a good fish there. I'm curious. Does it take a long time for you to get set up when you go out? You seem to have a lot of equipment.

Good stuff regardless!
Right on thanks!
Nice Jake, I'll be there Tuesday
Good Luck!

Thanks! I have the largest EGO net available. This was yesterday.

@@evlpnoy nice! I might be back out there Thursday too!
So tricky to net big fish! Feel your disappointment. But congratulations on your big catch! 🎉🎈🍾🎊
Thanks Sandi! Yes it is definitely challenging!

Yea I believe that was the issue. I’ll be sure to shorten it next time! Good eye! 👊

Thanks James! Funny that you mentioned this tip because that’s exactly what I did on my next video 😂

Thanks bro! Sure is!
I felt your pain bro. That was a long fight. Makes the redemption fish that much better. We’ll gettem on the next one. 🔥rn 🎣👊🏼🤙🏼
It was and yes hope to find a redemption fish soon! 👊
Easier with a bigger net
😭😭😭
I know right?! I need a redemption fish!

Yea I was hearing similar reports but figured I’d try anyways. This was yesterday

Yea it just makes it that much heartbreaking when it’s that close to landing it. I’d say it takes me about 20 mins or so to set up. Not too bad
Those net jobs... You can do better 😘
Yea I’ve learned through these losses. It’s too bad that we likely will not have a salmon season this year. 😢
