Good Burritos Don't Fall Apart
I like that better then the one I learnt
Good boys do fine always
kelly mangara I learned great big dreams for america
Awkward Penguin bruh ur the best. My teacher taught me Great Big Dogs Fight Animals and i cant remember that for shit but since im mexican i can remember burritos
Brilliant!
That's how I learnt it 😂
I still don't understand anything (LOL) but I admire people who can read music... It is amazing to see that while they are playing, so much information is being processed in their heads and turned to sound... You guys are amazing.
Music Is amazing
@@JRR14_ yeah except you didn’t pay attention to music studies in beginning band and screws with you later on lol
Even tho im not in a band i can read music its very easy thats why piano is easy to me but just studie hard to understand music
thanks. it just comes through practice. youre never gonna start reading music perfectly. its like learning a new language and trying to translate it
First line G, then start alphabet, then when reach g start over
Raised on treble all my life. Tried to learn bass but no one explained it better than this video
same
My band teacher accidentally said “good birds don’t fall apart” combining “good burritos don’t fall apart” and “good birds do fly always” in the best way
Universal Sock good burritos do fly always
I hope no birds fall apart
i forgot the one i learned so i came up with “good boys don’t fricken apologize”
Many thanks for your kind message! Glad you found the video useful and good luck with your upright bass playing. Best wishes.
THANK YOU!!!! I don't know why it was so hard for me to find a straight video on the notes for Bass Clef. I just forgot the order. And I learned a little more too. Thank you!
Same
for GBDFA my choir teacher told us Great Basses Date Fine Altos which I quite like haha
uh.. choir?
So cute
Thank god I have read treble clef for 5 years and want to learn bass for music knowledge.
Just got a place at university that required grade 5 theory and these past 4 months I have managed to learn theory to that standard all thanks to you! Please keep doing these videos Steven they are incredibly helpful for any skill level. Thanks again!
Did you graduate?
I played stand up bass for 9 years as a child and then has to quit. I started back recently, and watching this has definitely hit something in my brain reminding me how to play.
We are off to a great start because you did the bare minimum in pointing the different kinds of clefs.
Thanks for posting this, it's really helpful, I've always struggled with Bass Clef and need to know it for course work next year, and I think I finally understand it
Yep
I'm so glad I found this video because I'm learning to play the bass guitar for marching band
in my music theory class
my teacher is always amazed how much I know abt music theory
my secret was that I always watched ur vedios to improve my music knowledge
Maybe watch some Grammar videos too
I haven't read music in 14 years and this has been so helpful.
So helpful. Now i get why the notation is different for treble & bass clefs. The middle C connects them from either end.
This video is EXACTLY what I need to introduce my 5th graders to bass clef! It’s just the right length with just the right amo. of info for beginners. THANKS!
Thanks for this! I've been playing piano for a long time now and bass clef has always been my enemy. It really helps to have a refresher on this.
Most helpful video I’ve ever watched in my life! It explains everything I was confused about!!!! I cannot express to you how thankful I am for this!!!
So I’ve been struggling with bass clef on piano and I’ve been dying. I found this video and omg I literally learned this when I was 9. Had I remembered I wouldn’t have been struggling thank you so much.
my piano teacher in first grade had me memorize: "Good Boys Do Fine Always" for bass lined notes and "Every Good Boy Does Fine." for treble lines. But that was 50 years ago...lol
jay wire my one is "every good boy deserves football"
jay wire so you already know how to play the piano? if so, how are you watching this video?
i spent a few years having proper lessons as a child and had started to read music....then, like a lot of young folks, i quit piano and took up guitar. My ability to read music stalled. I can decipher simple progression, and I'll always regret not sticking with the lessons.
A 50 year old saying lol
Every good burger deserves fries
Thanks so much for this. I’m switching from trumpet, to sousaphone and tuba. A big switch, so I’m trying to learn bass clef and this helped a lot!
Hey musictheoryguy, in music class, most of homework is to watch one of your videos. My teacher thinks your awesome ;)
Chaz Ing How kind! Can I ask where, in the world, you are located? I'm always keen to know where my videos have been watched. Thanks!
I live in England but I know some of my online friends in other countries watch you too ;)
+musictheoryguy From Malaysia :D
+x-StaticWolf-x -Minecraft, fnaf and more! I watch you from here in Las Vegas!
Jamaica
im back for gr 12 band class this semester , i play in treble clef throughout the year on guitar and as soon as a saw bass cleff for bass guitar, it was unfamiliar. thanks , great lesson.
after looking through tons of videos on understanding bass clef this is the only one that was really helpful and easy to understand :D thanks so much stephen
I was bored and had the idea to try to understand reading music in different clefs. I play trombone and and watching this video helped out a ton. I'm gonna watch more videos so i can learn to read in treble and other clefs.
A good way to think about it is instead of "a" starting on the second row it starts on the first row. from there you can make due judgment.
Hiya , what do you mean
I moved from playing cornet to tuba about 2 years ago and my music teacher keeps telling me I need to learn bass clef. Thank you lmao
As a treble clef player this is super helpful before I start learning piano
This was an amazing starter video for base clef. I'm gonna be a tenor this year in choir and I have to learn base clef before the year starts, so thank you for that!
Thank you music guy, this is going to help me alot for my band class. I have forgotten the notes, and your videos ar helping me refresh my memory.
I like "Great Britain Doesn't Fight America." Love that! :)
I love you
I've learnt the notes on the treble clef before learning this. I find it difficult to learn this separately. I just remember this relationship between the two that helps me identify the notes quicler.. The same note on the bass clef stave is one whole step down from the treble clef stave. For example, the F note on the bass clef is on the second staff from above and the F note on the treble clef is on the first staff from above. It works for me that way.
Wow, that works really well! Coming back to the bass cleff after 20 years I thought I was starting from scratch but this is so helpful! Thanks! :)
Thanks for posting this. As a 64 y.o. learning the piano after playing the guitar and organ in my youth, these bass notes are a whole new ballgame. So your video should help reduce my "F clef lag time" significantly with my left hand. LOL
Very clear! ALL tutorials should be so.
This helped me out so much! I had a song to practice and for some reason the song wasn't sounding the way it was supposed to and because of this video I figured it out and it sounds great! Thank youuuu!!!😌
hey thanks for the video, Trombone player here, just watching this to get a refresher after many years of not playing :)
I've been trying to play bass clef to play the piano since I used to play clarinet so, it is quite tricky. I really like how easy it was explained. Now I have to remember that where f is on a treble clef is where a is on the bass clef
Another hint is that the bass-clef is sometimes known as the F-clef, as he pointed out in the video. As well as the two dots being in the spaces either side of the F-line, notice that the start of the clef itself also starts on this line.
Of course, it is even easier to tell what the lines and spaces are if a piece has sharps or flats in the key signature, as the order of the sharps and flats is exactly the same in the bass clef as in the treble clef (FCGDAEB for sharps, BEADGCF for flats).
It is worth getting used to the bass clef, as it is pretty hard to avoid in piano music due to many of the notes in your left-hand playing being much too low for the treble clef.
Nani C. dude im doing the exact same thing XD i play clarinet too... It is very tricky to go from treble to bass
aaayyy army... I used to play the violin but I want to play the piano like suga
INFIRES MAN I play clarinet piano ,and violin
between the dots
thank you so much :) this really helped me considering I am starting cello. I got the idea of reading music but this helped me so much more than any teacher could. I really appreciate it.
When you play a folk instrument similar to flute and you think "Oh, I'll never need Bass clef." and then quarantine hits you and you decide to finally learn how to play your family's piano
I just started cello lessons and that was helpful, thank you for that. Your a great teacher I can tell. Cheers.
Im a flute player and normally read treble clef. Im beginning to learn piano so i realized i needed to learn bass clef as well. This was super helpful for me and im going to constantly come back to this for reference!
Fantastic lesson. Presented in a calm fashion suited to my way of learning. Thank you.
so helpful. I only know treble clef as I play the violin but I'm trying to play a song on the piano with two hands and thanks to you the base clef now makes sense!
I wanted to learn this for trombone, this is a good old music learning video, and stay safe guys!
When we learned the bass clef in choir, my best friend and I, who just so happen to sit next to each other, made up "Grapes Break Dance From Alleyways" for the lines on the bass clef and "Airborne Cities Eliminate Gravity" for the spaces. It's easy to remember because it's weird.
This has been a godsend thank you so much. Now i dont have to waste $40 on my music lesson this week!
I like the way you explained the Bass Clef, you made it a lot easier to understand! I'm trying to learn Cello before I even have one,I just want to get down the music reading first to make it a little less frustrating for the teacher I hire xD
That is exactly the boat I'm in now. I bought a cello last week and am having my first lessons soon, but knowing I'll be working primarily with bass and tenor clefs I thought I'd take the initiative to familiarize myself with them, making it a little easier for my instructor.
How did it go?
Thank you so much for this, as an alto in choir I was of course familiar with treble clef but need this cause I'm learning the cello 😊
I was taught to play on a treble clef as my first instrument was a trumpet but as years go by I want to learn piano I've had to make remarks such as all location's of an A in treble is a C in bass clef but a very helpful Video Thanks
I should have watched this when I was in the school choir singing bass. I will now use this to speed up my bass line reading and learning for piano :)
thanks, this really helped! I play violin but I'm going to soon learn the cello so I really needed something to strengthen my knowledge of bass clef!
simple and easy to understand, thanks mate
Hey, thanks! I aced a test with this!
That's great news - well done! Best wishes.
Adelyn Williams got test tommorow
for bass my teacher taught me “Great Big Dragons Fly Around”
I play clarinet and and sax, so I've been taught to read in the treble clef. I'm going to learn bass so I'm gonna have to adapt to the new clef, thank you so very much it is going to be a big help.
I love your videos dude it makes learning fun and keeps inspiration high. You are a great teacher thank you.
I've been doing piano for 3 years now and omfg the bass clef is still haunting me to this day.
Wow, very wonderful presentation. I have now understood it well. God bless you Sir.
This is a great video. It might seem slow at first, but you can't explain it to someone else better than this, love the freaking video!
I like how you use the same format for the presentation as the Treble Clef. Virtually the same script. Would be nice to show how it is related to the Treble Clef. Still, I like the style. Many thanks.
Best music theory video I’ve seen today
I just started learning accordion and I’ve never played an instrument in bass clef so thank you so much
You explained everything very well! Much better than my school! Thank you so much!
This is an excellent lesson and really simplfies the process. Thanks for such a helpful lesson.
I just wish in our music classes they'd teach us both treble AND bass clef, now I feel like I'm starting from scratch because I'm learning from flute to electric bass, haha!
My band final is next week and this video is a life saver! Thanks!
I know how to read Treble Clef, but I should learn Bass Clef so I write music for certain instruments. Thank you, this video was really helpful!
Many thanks for uploading, it's really been a great help to understanding the music theory. Great explanation, it was so hard to remember the notes and now a hope to understand the basic. Really appreciate!!!
This video really helped me. I already knew how to read treble clef and your video really helped me along the way to learning how to read bass clef
The "All Cows Eat Grass" is really helpful thanks :)
Yes!
I'm switching from flute to bassoon so I desperately needed this
I would like to say always thank you for you to explain exactly and correctly. 99 points
Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was looking for
Thank you. I really needed a refresher. Your presentation and explanation is most
clear.🎶
Finally I get it! Thank you! Very helpful video.
I first played a flute which is a treble clef, so this is confusing for me but this video did help me with my Baritone
omg thank you!!! I'm taking a piano class in college. i would've failed if it weren't for this
I've always played Baritone/Euphonium in Treble Clef because I used to play Saxophone and only really played Baritone in Drum & Bugle Corps (2 valve G Bugle Days). Just getting tired of finding someone to transpose music for me.
Thanks for the video.
.
finally a music video that's actually helpful.. tysm ❤️
THis video lesson remembers me the workbook ''music notation and terminology'' by karl wilson gerkhens.
I want to take a basic music course so I can play the guitar or the piano, just want to learn to experience with my friends.
Thank you, so simply explained for a beginner.
I play trombone, which is base clef. I never quite understood the mnemonics, to be honest. I always thought, "start with A on the bottom floor, the next notes up are B, C, D, etc..." In my mind, it just ads to the already massive amount of stuff you need to learn. If anyone else also feels this way, lemme know!
I feel the same way. About 10% of all my students also feel that way. For the favor of the most, I also teach mnemonic. But if my student says it's confusing, I just say whatever, memorize it your way.
Very nice. Thanks for this content, brother. Exactly what I needed!
12 years later and it still helps people like me
I have to learn Bass because I played treble clef for Baritone and I recently now in high school band and gonna play Tuba, I hope I remember this!
Great graphics, clearly explained for us total newbies to reading music! I just subscribed to this channel.
Superb tutorial. Thanks!
My piano teacher says All Cows Eat Grass for the spaces
i use ‘granny buys drugs from america’ to remember ‘GBDFA’ lmao
THIS WAS THE BEST VIDEO THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN EXPLAINING MUSIC :DD yeyyyyyy now i know h2 read music!!!! thank you so much
thx it was every useful to me i was looking for four bars of music using the bass clef and i found it thx thx u very much k it nice and understanding
Thank you! I'm a violinist looking to play piano, and this is a life saver! ありがとうございます! ビデオ大好きです!
Delighted to hear that this helped you!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! It helps me a lot with my cello class
thanks this is very helpful could only read TAB before now leaning bass clef
thanks
I'm glad I came across these. I watched the treble clef video first.. I guest the question is WHY are the lines the notes that they are. I never understand why.
Thank you so much! I literally had no idea what I was doing.
Thanks, this will definitely help with me playing cello!
Hey... I've been a flute player for about 4 years now and I'm finally switching to trombone... I wanted to get s head start and your video REALLY helped me figure this all out. Thanks so much for this awesome video!
That is basically happening to me. I have played the alto saxophone for 5 years now and both my orchestra and my band teacher are asking me to switch to bassoon. I have never had to read bass clef, so this will be a challenge, but it doesn't seem that hard.
