    It's a turn mill
    Since it's made so the main holding way is the lathe way
    A mill turn is where you have a fill table with a 5 axis head and part of the table can turn ( like 1100rpm )
    That's the difference between a mill turn and a turn mill
    Aka. If it have a table with a turning part build into the table it's a mill turn
    If it have a chuck on the side and a mill head then it's a turn mill

    What's the point of a robot on the lathe?
    Wouldn't a bar feeder be cheaper/easier and more reliable?

    • @nc.92
      @nc.92 3 года назад

      Space.
      You can also run 2op without a Sub-Spindle.

    • @powermoveengineering

      Some parts, like ones with over sized diameters, cannot always be bar fed. Or the robot could load/unload 2nd op parts which have previously been removed from the full length stock.

      @@nc.92 Seems like way too much extra work for an extra 150sq' but op 2 does make sense, I guess that's why.

      @@powermoveengineering I would get the oversized parts thing if he wasn't a medical shop and that robot looked like it could handle something big, but yeah, I guess it's about op 2.
