Some lyrics in their songs are partly in Russian. Stp are basically the Slipknot of Deathcore if you listen to most of their riffs, rhythm patterns and actually vocal style though converted to growls instead of "screams" Funfact the vocalist Alex Terrible has done a cover of Barbie Girl as well as many others on his RUclips channel.
There's no getting ready for this video, not fully. But you took it well. Let's just do all the Russian stereotypes! If you haven't seen it already, 'Bonebreaker', live in Moscow, is a heck of a live video. They played that song as their opener, when I saw the band in April. Also, the music video for 'Agony', as others have already suggested. Or the video for '1984', which seems to be the reason the band isn't welcome back in Russia right now.
She’s unpredictable and violent. She can help but she might just eat you. The best bet is to politely tell her that you are blessed. She’ll kick you out of her house straight away.
Not sure about our neighbours but in Poland it's better to just run away from her. She's wicked and evil, living in deep forest, just waiting to eat unfortunate travelers (specially children). She will stuff You and boil/bake Your corpse. She will grind Your bones into flour and feed leftovers to her house, living creature which looks like old, rotten hut, standing on the middle of forest clearing. There's no way You can negotiate with her. I've heard stories about her since I was a kid, and that was told so kids won't wonder into the forest.
He also only loaded one bullet yet the gun went off three times. It was Baba Yaga’s revenge? For them eating her? Would be my only guess but idk. Never heard metal that actually made me think but Slaughter has done that with Viking and Baba Yaga.
gotta be one of the best videoclips ever lmaooo great song too, not my fav one but i dont even know which one is, every song from kostolom (their last album) is fucking amazing. I guess next song you could react to is Agony, which also has a music video and a heavy af breakdown lol
i love your reactions, keep up the good work with the videos! First person i see that can also appreciate the "drop" part with the guitar, i love it. This is my favorite band, all the members are extremely awesome in what they do.
3:22 you had such a funny expression on your face🤣Russia is famous for this😁 thank you for the reaction, it's beautiful, it's very nice to see the reaction to their Russian countrymen, Alexander and Evgeny (drummer) are just animals, great respect from Voronezh, I'm your fan🤘
Baba Yaga is not an ogress she's old witch/dark magic type recluse living in forest, keeper of all forest stuff: animals, birds, trees. She's just being used as kinda boogeyman to scare disobedient children
You mentioned the revenant when he was fighting the bear. At the end it gave old vibes from the movie deer hunter with Robert DeNiro where he actually played Russian roulette
Great reaction 😊❤️. And for the last scene I was also confused the first time I watched the video but from what I read it's like "reverse" russian roulette, you don't put just one bullet in the gun, you actually only remove one and all the others stay inside, that's why they all end up dead 😅.
I love it when metal musicians actually put violence to their song videos instead of just a bunch of guys headbanging. They also put the headbanging part, but not all alone.
This Baba Yaga by Alex's band is a big & strong moment everytime for me... and this "F...." breakdown" at the final, just one of the best i 've never heard... seems like many breakdown in the song to Lorna Shore called To the Hellfire"... dammit, that was a new good moment, right ? Thx to react about this song & salute from France Dear... keep safe also !!!
That's called a "bend " it's done on the guitar 🎸 u " bend the string & it makes that drop sound. U can see it in the falling in reverse " watch the world burn" video when u 1st notice it. Look at the guitar shot when it happens u can see him bend the string down . Love ur content keep moving forward ur content is very entertaining and it's because u seen extremely cool people.
I think what they were saying with the Russian Roulette was it's what we're doing as a species. Actually I think that's what the song is about in general.
Listen to Demolisher from Slaughter to Prevail. You wont believe what a Deep Voice can come out of the singer …. THAT was horrorfying ….😮. Greetings from Germany 👏🏻
That thing you like is called a breakdown. It's done in bands with hardcore influences and is when the people in the mosh pit throw down with punching and windmill kicks. Just in case your wondering.
Ok so the Baba Yaga is the Russian version of the Boogie man... also, can we give big props to Evgeny for the drumming??? Normal people would have a heart attack mid way through. And as far as symbolism with the Russian roulette, I think maybe they were pointing out that much like the Baba Yaga, your demons can only be escaped by death. (Thats just my take though)
I'd love to recommend 2 of my favourites from deathcore. Those being *Shadow of Intent* and *Infant Annihilator.* Shadow of Intent is a deathcore band mixed with ALOT of symphonic elements. People often think of Lorna Shore when listening to SoI in terms of syphonics, but I think SoI incorporates it in their music much better. The songs to start with are, I'd say, The Heretic Prevails, The Horror Within or Malediction. Next up we have the band with Goblin King, aka Dickie Allen. That band being Infant Annihilator. One of the most effed up bands ever in terms of lyrics (if the name of the band didn't convey that message already XD). Honestly, Dickie is probably my favourite deathcore vocalist ever. He is extremely talented, but also his vocals are so ridiculous, it's funny. Just get ready for the ridiculousnenss level to go through the roof. I'd say the best song to start off is with their most popular song, Blasphemian, but I'd like to selfishly recommend Necropocalypse or Unholy Gravebirth. These 2 songs show you my favourite parts of Dickie's vocals. Those being insane goblin sounds and ridiculous speed in pronunciation. Thank you very much. 😊
Loоk bakestage of this clip. It was so funny when Sahya grouling on bear and bear raw on Sanya! =D (Sanya is short name for Sasha or Alexandr. We're using "Sanya" in usual speech.)
Not sure if someone has said this yet but that thing you like with the guitars is called a dive bomb usually used with a whammy bar but can be done by manipulating the strings while throwing the guitar down and hitting it.
If you like the vocals in this one a lot, check out a band that is is a huge influence on pretty much every heavy band right now: Sikth, specifically their song Sanguine Seas Of Bigotry.
A song I think is a great showcase of what Alex Terrible can do is his cover of Chandelier - Sia. He hits both highs and insane lows. A personal recommendation from me is my favourite band: Shadow of Intent. The Heretic Prevails is the song that most people react to, but other songs of theirs that are worth checking out are Malediction, Melancholy, The Migrant, and From Ruin... We Rise. Great reactions btw 😄
I know that it doesn't have a clip but can you do Bratva from Slaughter? It has a non-stop vibe. OR maybe Zavali Ebalo, aaaaaaand if you want to hear clean vocals Your Only. Please please
I guess the symbolism of that game could be that they aint got nothing to lose and people should not fuk with them.. i am probably wrong but it is a fun theory.
If you (and others peoples) liked Slaughter To Prevail, i recommand King 810 : Kill'em all => Video clip completely banned from Ytb, because uncle Sam don't like to expose the violence on his ground. Alpha and Omega => Very cool, and not banned.
Have you heard of Eluveitie? There is a lot of good songs too: for example “Rebirth”,”King”,”Ategnatos” or “The Slumber” and “Worship”, two songs that tell one ancient story from two different perspectives. Anyone interested?
I've genuinely never heard of this band before watching this video. The chorus was decent as a contrast to the heavy riffs. You should give mudvayne a bash, they're older style but they're very good
Baba Yaga is a witch, def. female, that lives in the forest in a little house that stands on chicken legs. The word "baba" means an old woman(hence "babushka - granny). That little fact made watching John Wick so much funnier.
Позвольте мне внести немного ясности в происходящее...) Клип и песню нужно воспринимать как иронию над всеми стереотипами которые вы слышали про Русских. The guitar thing you talk about I guess is the bends as it called. The first time tmk you mentioned it was in the last part of Watch the world burn
Everything you said about Baba Yaga was more-or-less correct, but if it helps, in the context of this song, Baba Yaga is actually referring to a mob boss you owe.

I will ONLY listen to his version of All I want for Christmas!. 😁
Met the whole band at a show a couple months ago. Everyone in the band is super nice and chill. Great reaction! Keep them coming!

Damn, we just keep throwing you in the deep end. Didn't even get a hair metal warm up. lol.
First let me just say you have the cutest, nervous giggle ever 😍😍😍
Second. Great reaction as always
Great reaction. Thanks for the upload. Also that “drop” you were referring to is commonly known as a “breakdown”. And breakdowns are awesome 🤘🤘
👀
Саня молодец, спасибо за реакцию=)))
I do believe that depending on the area of Slavic lore, Baba Yaga can be called upon against your enemies. Probably more fitting for the song
She’s unpredictable and violent. She can help but she might just eat you. The best bet is to politely tell her that you are blessed. She’ll kick you out of her house straight away.

You can buy a mask from the band’s mask store. Link at the end of the video if I recall.
I have one! It's so cool!!!

Grappling bears is a Russian tradition. Grappling bears in Russia = apple pie in America.
Just here to say that seeing you enjoy this music and slowly becoming a bit of a metalhead is fun to see.
I love when vocalists review bands like this so much. Proof that this genre takes real talent to do vocals in, “anyone can scream” people
Also.
Thanks for reaction Спасибо)
Saw the video, listened to the song, bought a mask, listened to their other songs, didn't regret. :D
Nice reaction!
Bloodywood - Gaddaar (Indian Folk Metal)
Bad Omens - Dethrone. I NEED this reaction pretty please

The song is sung about the Witch of the Forest called Baba Yaga who kidnaps and eats disobedient children.
