Same here. I have a masters in chemistry and computing and 20 years in healthcare. I thought she was full of it the moment I first saw her interviewed. Those who poured funding into her web of lies should have consulted experts - any real expert, including a doctor or nurse - and they would have seen through this in a heartbeat.

Actually Jho Low is a good lesson. U can see that connections are probably the single most important thing in business. Even if u r a mediocre business man, people will buy from u rather than from an unknown person.
Jho went overboard and was too loud in his spending u need to keep a low key.
He is not the first person that profits from the wealth of a country and won’t be the last. Do you think Malaysia is the only country suffering from corruption, think again!
All good times come to an end. I think he stole too much too soon, if he had distributed his dirty little tricks well over time he would have made more money and be set for life.
By the way the Malaysian government and the key people involved know exactly what where he is hiding.
    Why can’t they find him?
Because if Jho “porky pig” opens his mouth, lots of heads are going to be chopped. Play dumb and keep it quiet.
By the way it all seems to be a dream of the past. The angry masses of people suffer from mass amnesia …

At least she still became a billionaire. Truth is she didn't know how to but believed she could come up with people who can and manage them to create it. Which is what most billionaires do. Her power is to just be able to come up with the money needed to find and maintain the people who can invent. She's a genius talker and a convincer , plus she had the connections through her parents wealth. I have a reason to believe she believed she actually could pull it off

I tend to agree with you. Even though most people want to pile onto the crushed Elizabeth Holmes, she didn't start out at 19 determined to become an ultimate tech scammer, she really believed this could somehow be pulled off, especially when her own Stanford professor thoroughly encouraging her and joined the board of her company. It was, in essence, an ultimate "fake it 'til you make it" agenda, actually quite typical in silicon valley culture.

I don't think she's a genius anything. I think she's a white blonde from a wealthy family, and that did majority of the work for her.

How she got so far with this is simply mind boggling. I’m just a nurse, and I knew immediately that it was impossible to do all she said with a drop of blood. So if I knew this, I know they all did before this blew up like it did.🥸

Why Rachel offered to pay for Anna when Annas card declined is crazy.
$4,000 is not money i would lend someone, unless it was a written agreement and i verified they had funds to pay back.
I believe if you have to renew a visa, you have to go back to your actual country. You would need an appointment.
Maybe Rachel didnt talk to her parents about Anna.
Im into computers and technology. I thought what Elizabeth Holmes wanted to do is not possible yet.
A NYC couple that i knew lost their money with Madoff and had to move out of their NYC townhome , and sell their summer home. They downsized to a NYC apartment in a newly built building.
It was very sad they had to sell things from their previous generations. they had to pay back money because they were part of the clawback lawsuit.
I feel bad for all the people that lost money with Bernie Madoff or other scammers.

The conscious bias at work. the privilege of race. if anyone of them was a black person then the scrutiny would have been most intense to disqualify participation. So race allowed access on the stage. Then they performed their madness..beautifully.

    • @ladycinder
      @ladycinder 5 дней назад

Precisely. Black people are met with far, far more scrutiny in almost any field, and it's why so few of these cases involve black people; because they aren't allowed to participate in the first place.
