My dad is from near there and fondly remembers his senior class trip to the Frank Davis Resort in the late 70s. A few similar places in the area exist as campgrounds now.
GREAT explore Jason!! We had a blast when we went there!!! We never made it to the 2nd floor of the fire building however I did go in the 1st floor! The whole place in general looks in rougher shape than when we were there! Glad you made it out safe!!! EXCELLENT job as always!!! :)
We couldn't even get into the 1st floor of that building bc of a collapsed section of wall...really the only section we weren't able to see. I know over the summer the owners sealed everything up...not sure what it's like even now but there are way more no trespassing signs from what I've heard. Glad we were able to check it out without any trouble so thanks again for your help!
I loved exploring this place. That entire area has so many abandoned asylums, resorts, and homes
I worked in that hotel in summers, during college days. Before the Davis family, it was owned by the Tannenbaums.
Awesome videos. I love that you make the effort to learn the history and explain the layout. Keep up the good work.

Wow this place is such a huge wreck. Every vid that I see of this place is worse and worse. Thanks for taking us along.
Great video Jason!
I graduated high school in 1968 and had our senior year class trip here.
I was there last weekend and shared pics on a Facebook page dedicated to abandoned Connecticut places. It got lots of good feedback.
Creepy and fun...great vid!
