Actually, now that I think about it, a Slayer Crusade would have been amazing. Imagine a scenario where Ungrim Ironfist issues a call to arms for every Slayer in the Warhammer World to gather at the Slayer Keep. From there he organizes them into an army and marches out at the head of them proclaiming that they are going to exterminate every last enemy of Dwarf Kind or die trying.
Suicide is the cowards way out you know. The whole point is to take on something you can feasibly accomplish even if it is highly unlikely and then sell your life dearly with honour. Going about it with the intent to make the task impossible will not absolve the slayer. They must pursue the task with the intent to win, and then hopefully die in the attempt. Otherwise there wouldn't be any slayers if all you need is to wander into the badlands and stumble into an orc camp to die honourably.

Funny that the Warhammer version of the Great Eagles are immune to Chaos Corruption, whereas the original Lord of the Rings Great Eagles were at risk of turning evil if they got close to the One Ring due to their natural pride (which is why they didn't help carry the ring to Mordor).
No. The Great Eagles didn't help carry the Ring to Mordor because Sauron had his own airforce with the Flying Fell Beasts. The Eagles would have been spotted and hunted down. The Fellowship needed to sneak the ring into Mordor without being noticed.
I am unsurprised by a bird's lack of understanding when it comes to the minutest of details of hierarchy and taxes. We really have no frame of reference for an animal like that)

Could I ask for more videos, like the one on 'Boarding Actions', where you choose an aspect of wh40k and then pick apart how the factions would tackle it? Or maybe a series based around the same idea, to really give you time to shine.

There is a GW great eagles kit from the LOTR wargame (middle earth strategy battle game or something). Their lore is already taken from lotr, might as well take the miniatures too) Scale looks fitting and the models are made of modern quality GW plastic.

I would think that a lot of eagles would see grazing animals as part of a humans “hunting grounds”. a territory thing. Anyways, I like how there are a few “compromisable neutral” creatures in warhammer. They need proactive reasons to do things with tangible benefits to themselves. Otherwise they arent necessarily noble or dastardly by human standards, but function on their own internal logics. Like ogres. they can sometimes be dealt with by giving them food. But they aren’t particularly opposed to gobble up an “ally” here or there if they can get away with it.
It's a pity they never did armoured eagles. Convinceing an eagle to have metal claws and beak covers (improved weapons) and some armour plates should be easier than letting a heavy elf ride their backs. Especially Ithilmar.
