They actually sound pretty similar. I have an SM7b and one of my favorite things is to use the high pass filter and get up on it. I'm starting to think it's worth it to buy one of these sE V7 MKs. The high end detail is very good for a dynamic of that price and it would make an excellent live mic and even an instrument mic.
fastest output of videos on the internet, you're a legend Edit: Sounds pretty damn close, I might even call it the best alternative to the sm7b. I'm looking for that low end rumble, Do you get interferance issues with the v7 variants?
I actually think that the V7 sounds better!!!!!!! I'm content though with my 3 mics (RE20, RE27 N/D, and TZ Stellar X2 Vintage) If I end up picking up that Myles Kennedy Edition, the only thing I would do is take a 1200 grit piece of sandpaper and sand off the stupid signature from the mic handle.
@@Dracomies ok...give me your 100% unbiased professional opinion. You know the three mics that J currently own....so if I were to grab one more mic....just for grins and for something else to use every so often....would you choose that Myles V7 or Earthworks Ethos? This is my conundrum of late.
Hal9000 - I'm sorry Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that. jkjk. The truth is it's going to be different from person to person. Sort of like when you see a singer who goes through a string of microphones and sounds good on particular ones. Switch the singer, and the mics that work good on their voice changes. So the only way to know is to test it on your voice and see what you like. Mics are like T-shirts. You see someone wearing it but it may or may not fit the same way for you. @@ToddDolce
The MK really is a sleeper. I’ve been curious if it sounds in any way different than the V7X just due to being in a slightly different body and having a different grill on top. I’m sure any differences are subtle. I’m gonna need to get a V7X at some point to try it against.
V7x is more prone to plosives but it has wider frequency range. If you know how to tame the plosives (pop filter, mic placement) it is a wonderful mic.
In my treated room with no reverb issues, I'm torn between the Lewitt 440 Pure and the SE Electronics V7 for Voice Over and Podcasting. Considering my deep, dark voice, should I go for the Lewitt 440 Pure dynamic or the SE Electronics V7 condenser microphone? Your swift recommendation would be appreciated.🎉
Not OP, but I would recommend a dynamic if you're in an untreated room, and the v7 is very good for that. I have a 440 pure and it picks up a lot of room reflections like other condnensers

Thanks you so much🤗 Your videos are extremely helpful. Could you, please, to share your thoughts: if you have to choose only 1 mic which one it will be - se8 or v7 MK? I like both. And I will buy them. But what is the most universal for completely untreated room?😊
Buy both. Test both. Return the other. I'm not answering this question because it depends on YOUR voice. That's like saying should I buy this Tshirt or this one. I don't know :P It's your voice.
What happened to the "my best USA made knives" video? It was on my notification in the last couple days and i went back to watch and can't find... thanks!
excellent videos!! these have been an amazing helping hand for me as a starter audio engineering student if you don't mind me asking, what do you think about the m-audio air 192x6 over the track solo??? i've heard giant praise for the latter from you but i want to know if the former is a good cheaper alternative to, say, the motu m2 or the ssl 2
i ended ordering the MK version sir, how's the noisefloor compare to sm7b? is it has worse handling noise microphone? and it is the same with sm7b "GAIN HUNGRY"? i mean does the MK need any mic lifter? i'm currently using Zoom Livetrak L-8 mixer right now.
Handling seems to be the same as the original SEV7 which is much better than sev7x. The noise floor is tricky and unreliable to say (with dynamics) because it's heavily dependent on the interface but I haven't had issues, should be clean enough for everything you use it for. Only one way to know, just test it and see if it works.
Yani RODE podmic'i biraz eksik.

while we're here, mind if we get a comparison between the sm7b, and ksm32?

yeah it does indeed have the same EMI issues as the original so you'll want to keep it away from wifi, led lights, bluetooth etc.

why do you want to get the signature of the mic lmao

I think people have figured out how good it is because the price on resell sites have gone up and it is now $150

people like the RODE PsA1+ or the Elgato ones.
