This pub along with the fans opened the door to the 50s music that has lingered on ever since!I know from accounts that the atmosphere was thrilling!!never to be repeated!It is directly responsible for the actual revival that follow!
kentish town mid-eighties,walked into pub with 2 punk mates..ordering 3 pints,landlady grabs me arm softly and says in a low tone."you 3 realise there's a teddy boy music festival here tonight do you?"Next thing I know we're surrounded by about 30 Teds.......all gasping for a pint....Not one bit of hassle except to be told once or twice how shite punk music was,and as a skinhead did i like West Indians???I didn't mention Tenpole Tudor.
