This is amazing how some of the most talented voices in Gospel and Soul music came from Howard University. I did not know Angela Winbush was one of the original Richard Smallwood Singers. And we all know what a powerhouse vocalist she is!!!! I was so amazed to see a photo of none other than Felicia Coleman, who did Sing, Mahalia, Sing. Anybody who recognizes her...........one of the most dynamic voices to ever come out of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, in Chicago. And if you don't believe me, listen to some of Fellowship's recordings, and listen for yourself! The talent that surrounded Richard........my goodness!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing this video!

Wow!!!! This was awesome. Living in Maryland all my life and having seen the Richard Smallwood Singer as well as Vision on many occasions. It's like I know them all personally. Saddened by the losses and rejoicing in their many, many triumphs. Such gifted, and anointed people of God!!!! ❤

Precious memories! Those Smallwood Singers were THE Gospel Singers back in the day, I mean the intonation they had was incomparable! Every generation builds their image based upon those who they revere and have already paved the way for them. Although I did not get a career solely in music, and my success and profession has been in theatre, Richard has always been the focal point of the musical performances I've rendered. Thank God for Richard and the skills He bestowed upon him because he set a pace that my generation of artists gracefully follow. So proud to have witnessed the era of the Smallwood Singers.

THANKS for the vid...I 'd learned a lot from my favorite gospel group ever assembled. I discovered Richard Smallwood in or around 1990 and it was the most beautiful sound i have ever heard and was/is ministers to me always. I have a fantasy of singing just like Richard's members. God bless him and his ministry for always.
