koi no yokan is "the sense one can have upon first meeting a person that the two of you are going to fall in love. Differs from “love at first sight” as it does not imply that the feeling of love exists, only the knowledge that a future love is inevitable"
There's no true English translation for the term, but essentially it means "a premonition of love". The actual meaning is roughly "when two people (or lovers) meet and they both have a striking feeling they will have true love for one another some time In the future".
With the creative progression from our beloved Deftones, I think this album is just as good as the Diamond Eyes era. I embarked on listening to this album to give it another go this week, and I've actually liked every single song. You have the popular tracks like, "Swerve City", "Leathers" and "Tempest". These three tracks gives the listener (new or saturated - like how I didn't say old?), the sense of Deftones' versatility with their unique ways of soft melodies and heavy hard-hitting grooves. I honestly believe Diamond Eyes helped put the guys back on the map with the way music has evolved, but we can discuss that on another review of mine. But this album, KNY, was their last good album in my opinion. I can't get into GORE; maybe I need to listen to it over and over for the 15th more time? I think I should've stopped when it was the 7th time I was listening to it. Anyway, my favorite song on this very album is, "Rosemary". And I wish they've played this song more often live. The track has a nice hook and the guys did a great job in allowing the creative process include the dynamism you hear. Of course, the track is the formal AB-AB format, but hey, some of the best songs out there are the most simplest ones created. I dunno, maybe I'm just old school. I still can't wrap my head around the GORE album, smh.

She breaks her horses
With strange distant voices
That travel through the air
They travel through the air
She tames with her voices
As she plays around with the forces
That travel through the air
They travel through the air
Ooh the distant howling out
Keeps you floating around
Oh distant howling out
Forces floating around
She breaks her horses
With strange distant voices
That travel through the air
They travel through the air
