    I didn't realise we have opel in the UK. Wow, interesting about the fake boulders, it's a bloody mine, do you really need to add to it? lol. You should retitle this video! Your friend is so knowledgable. Why is he not rich already lol. I actually found myself leaning over when you were looking down the shaft! Copper at the blast point, it's leached since so probably wouldn't have realised it's existance.

    He needs to come to Cornwall as we have naturally occurring Cornish Opals here. x

    Yup Flourite is so brittle I fully avoid buying any online due to chance of arriving broken. Would love to find some though 😍

    Sorry I made an error
    It’s Sallet Hole mine not salt ash.
    And It was 2 million tons of Galena are estimated to be in the ground around Eyam and High cliff if anyone wondered what I was referring to.
    Thank you
    God bless

    The Purple crystals, are they what you would call Blue John?

    • @UndergroundExplorerUK
      @UndergroundExplorerUK  Год назад +1

      Blue John is a variety of the same mineral -fluorite -, that has a unique specific colour zoning that can only be found in Castleton

    That's funny, I was watching a video from over there not too long ago, they were in a mine and shined a light on this bit of mineralization and asked "what's this?"
    I commented that it looked like opal, but didn't think it possible. Can't for the life of me remember what video that was

    Very cool. If you're ever going back there take a Blacklight Flashlight, it'll show up any opal.

    Seeing those fossils reminds me that the earth is simply a revolving door of species.
